A fantastic find! We wandered in on a Thursday night without a reservation and were seated promptly. The food arrived quickly and was quite delicious. Our waiter Raphael was very attentive and a pleasant conversationalist. We enjoyed the stuffed calamari, Dover sole, and lobster pasta. All were very delicious. I elected to filet the Sole myself, but please note that it does come bone-in. The stuffed calamari is not the little calamari bites, but is the size of a chicken breast. The lobster pasta is very fresh, and the sauce has a sweet acidity that is to die for. Will return again!

Loved the black olive! Stumbled upon this restaurant as we were exploring Fells point & although we didn’t have a reservation we were quickly seated. The stuff calamari was grilled to perfection and the white wine (Greek volcanic) was a perfect pair to our sole and lobster pasta entrees. Rafael, our server was attentive, funny & charming. Can’t wait to return!

I'm a huge fan of Black Olive but tonight was disappointing. They no longer filet whole fish at table side or offer to tour the fish “market “ to select options. Even the lemon butter sauce is gone. Like every where these days prices are up and service is down.

Went on a Saturday night with friends from out of town. We requested a quiet table in the back room and it was perfect. The food was delicious and priced reasonably for a nice fish restaurant. Finally, the service was friendly and attentive . Recommend highly.

What a great place for a party or couples evening. Food was terrific. Wine was solid if a little pricey if a large party but they work with you. Bottom line is go there.

Had a wonderful time at The Black Olive. Our server, Rafael, could not have been more friendly and accomodating. The food was excellent. I recommand the Dover Sol (pricey, but worth it) and finish up with a Greek coffee.

Apparently, service is affected by workforce. Our waiter appears overwhelmed, but adjunct support was excellent. To make up late dessert, our waiter provided complimentary ice cream.

This was my second time eating at black olive and it was just as good as the last. Very well cooked food, great ambience and wine selection, and very friendly staff. We will definitely be back.
The service was ok, but the food was excellent. Maybe they were short staffed, but it seemed to take a while at times to get our food and our waiter forgot to get back to us about our drinks. Also, it was very loud in there, so it was hard to have conversations and kept having to repeat ourselves. Not sure if it is always like that, but that sort of ruined the evening. Not too much of an ambience there, either. We made the most of it, though, and still enjoyed the food. I just remembered having a better experience in the past many years ago.

Tried The Black Olive for the first time due to the interesting menu on 2024 Winter Baltimore City restaurant week. The food and the service were okay. The price for a three course meal was great due to the restaurant week prices. There's just something about the ambiance it wasn't working for me. Wouldn't go again.

We had booked a table, but it wasn't ready when we arrived. We ended up having to sit at the bar, although Danny provided excellent service. The food was completely worth the price

My friends and I went there for Restaurant week. The food was good but I thought the portions were on the small side. I'm not sure if the portions were reduced in size because of restaurant week.

The food at Black Olive is excellent and it's always a good bet during Baltimore restaurant week. The seafood was great and we enjoyed the appetizers and dessert - the baklava ice cream was a particular hit!
Beautiful experience; very rustic, very charming, very Balmore. Went for a birthday during restaurant week
