From when you walk into the door the warm greeting, the atmosphere, the music selection, the chill vibes, the service, the drinks and the food delicious. Came here with my Hubby after working for the people and was craving Barbecue. Told my husband I ain’t going to Mission Barbecue because I wanted barbecue that made me feel like we was back home in the south. We from the south y’all born and raised so we can spot/taste that grandpa/uncle been out back for hours sweating and smoking meat in the yard for the family reunion type barbecue LOL. And this spot here hit that feeling right on every expectation. Mind you we were already cross town in the “OM” home in the county. So I got to searching and found this place. The Ribs, Mac & Cheese, Baked Beans, Coffee Barbecue Sauce, Sweet & Spicy Barbecue Sauce and to top it off that Chocolate Whiskey drank. Joey Did That! Matter fact the whole staff deserve their Flowers/props on a 100th. WeI love this place and now we loyal customers. Trust me and try this place out you won’t be disappointed this spot is really the Straight up top notch!

I can't rave enough about this place. In addition to being accommodating to dietary restrictions and welcoming to dogs (both reasons we decided to give Blue Pit a go), they blew us away with the quality of both the food and drinks. Each meat, each side, each sauce, and each cocktail was a unique and delicious burst of flavor. We stayed on the outdoor patio, soaking up some sun with our dog (who could stay underneath the umbrella for some shade), and feeling like we could fully savor a beautiful weekend afternoon. The food was fantastic! Nice menu and the best seller is there BBQ. It made flavorful sandwiches. I like the pulled Jackfruit sandwich. The meat was so good and well-cooked. So tender and juicy meat, coated with a very delicious. Mac n cheese was so good, very cheese. Amazing side dishes. It was a nice experience dining there. Food didn't disappoint us and good quality! The place was well-managed, very clean, and has pleasant ambiance. Nice customer service!

Nice location tucked away in Hampden Maryland. The name says it all they have lots of different whiskeys to choose from. The service was fast and the staff was friendly. I started off with the red-eye chocolate old fashion. (Four Roses bourbon, espresso simple syrup, and chocolate bitters) I was hesitant about it initially, but it turned out to be amazing. My roommate started with the Pom reader (Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon (Blue Pit Private Barrel), Blaze, Pomegranate, Thyme, Lemon, Barrel-Aged Bitters, Soda).For the meal, I ordered the 3 meat platter with Mac and cheese and baked beans. Brisket, pulled pork, and St Louis-style ribs. Additionally, I ordered a side of the sausage links. My roommate ordered ribs and brisket. Born and raised in Texas she was not impressed with the food, but loved the drinks. I on the other hand enjoyed it all except the cornbread. It was a bit hard and stale. We both agreed we'd be back for the drinks.

I have so many good things to say about this place but I'll keep it on the shorter side. I have been here twice now and absolutely love the chicken. Super delicious and cooked perfectly. As others have said you dont even need the sauces they provide, I didn't even bother with them. The Mac and cheese is super delicious and rich. Very cheesy. The potato salad has a unique taste to it and a ton of bacon. We enjoyed that too. Service is outstanding. We were greeted by and served our food by kindness. Very good decent people working here. And they loved my dog. They gave her a sweater for free. Just couldn't ask for more here. I can't comment on the liquor as I am not a drinker. The inside is very nice and cozy with an extremely large upstairs and outdoor area. Oops guess this shit is a lot longer then I wanted but I love this place and will be a regular

The WORST BBQ I've ever had in my life!!!! Even the side are disgusting! Best thing about it is the bbq sauce.

Place is straight fire. Easily one of the best restaurants in Hampden. Prices are affordable and portions are great. Best of all, food quality is top-tier.We picked up on a Saturday night and ordered pulled pork, brisket, mac & cheese, beans, coleslaw, and potato salad. Literally everything was fantastic. Friendly wait staff and cozy vibes inside. 10/10 would go again.

Cool, laid back establishment. I sat at the bar. The bartender was not very attentive. A server approached and took my order. He was very attentive. Order the house Old Fashioned. Very well-made. My only complaint is that the glass was not filled to the expected level for the first two I ordered (made by a make bartender) - - it was at just about halfway with AMPLE ice. The third one (made by a female bartender) was well made and the glass was filled to the expected level. Brisket was tender. Definetly need BBQ sauce, which was decent. Mac n cheese was good. Wasn't impressed by baked beans. Greens were solid.
