I went to this establishment to get baked chicken, cabbage, and mac and cheese. THe baked chicken was very salty and was luke warm. The mac and cheese was very salty and filled with artificial cheese. The cabbage was actually very good. If I had more time and didntnlwave the establishment before tadtingni would've went back to exchange some items:

I went to Morgan State for a career fair and asked where I could get some 'ghetto fried chicken' near by. They told me to walk around the corner from the business building and you would find sunny's. the environment is exactly what I expected, busy, loud and packed of people waiting to order and pick up. The food was amazing. Wings were big, wedges were fantastic and huge and the sauce was phenomenal. Definitely what I was looking for. The greens were ok, but everything made up for it. I got 8 wings because I wanted to try it all. Way too much food but didn't spend over $20 for all this food. Definitely go! People are cool! Food is good and you get a lot for your money.

Sunny's food is affordable and delicious. Also, the employees are very kind (which is a rarity in the hood.

You get what you expect coming into Sunnys: A no-frills enviornment, a glass encasement full of various delicious fried things, and various sides and drink options. I've been coming to Sunny's since I was still in undergrad at Morgan, which is just across the street from the complex Sunny's sits in. I always get the same things: 4-piece wing chicken box, western fries (which are just huge potato wedges) and a large half and half-light ice, which all is about $5-6. I'm sure Sunny's has great other stuff, but they do fried chicken right, and their half and halfs are on point. Don't forget the Sunny's sauce.
Sunny's is a great place to go for chicken box, lake trout, or sweet bean pie. Their menu ranges from cheese steak subs, to salads, and as it's namesake would suggest, fried chicken and lake trout. (My personal favorite fried fish is steak fish) The fish here at Sunny's is excellent. Good and crispy on the outside and moist and flaky on the inside. The chicken is also very good. FYI: the mambo sauce is some of the best I have had in Baltimore. You get a complimentary side of mambo sauce for fish orders. If you order something else, its like $25 cents. For you Washington area haters out there: Mambo sauce is a Baltimore culinary creation. It doesn't matter how many Baltimoreans have heard of mambo sauce: how many people from DC have heard of it??? My personal favorite meal here (well this is probably true for every Baltimore carryout) is: a chicken box and a medium (gotta watch the calories....) half and half.
Great food
Closed I think permanently
