A longtime favorite that never disappoints. Even when there’s a wait, it’s always worth it. The shrimp flautas and new mezcal options are amazing additions. I personally recommend the queso fundido w chorizo, cochinita and gobernador tacos. Friendly service, great food, and unbeatable vibes every single time. Thank you Clavel!
Clavel has been holding steady in our top 3 favorite restaurants for many years now. We usually make the trip south to eat here for at least one special occasion a year. I do wish we could make reservations but fortunately it hasn't been too much of an issue.

Clavel is legit. Easy 10/10. Only small knock was the ceviche the vinaigrette was a little heavy.. for me, but still good.
The tacos? Fire. My wife and I both got the barbacoa and carne asada and they did not miss at all. Well seasoned, cooked right, everything on point. She also got the sopa azteca, which was flavorful, real solid.
