De Kleine Duivel

Dropped in to De Kleine Duivel on a Monday night and was pleasantly surprised about everything. First, DKD has an *amazing* assortment of Belgian Beer along with the accompanying glassware that many breweries have to market their product. These people are true Belgian beer aficionados. A stunning array of Belgian beers. Hadn't been there in a few years and was glad to see very significant remodeling. Back then there was no food of any kind. Now they have a kitchen.

Another case where I've stayed away thinking I wasn't sure if this was my kind of bar. Turns out it's not just Bluebird's dingier sister--it's a friendly, quieter local bar with plenty of multibrews and, now, a food menu slightly larger and even more daring than its glossier upstairs sister. I tried the recommended new item, Fish & Chips, with tempura-battered mid-Atlantic monkfish, duck fat fries, slaw and turmeric aioli.
