Came in with high expectations given the many positive reviews but after dining here I wish I had read them more closely.Like other reviewers, my husband and I were shocked to see our fried oyster sandwiches delivered on small pieces of Texas toast next to a giant bag of chips. While delicious, the dish certainly wasn’t worth $18. The raw oysters were exceptional but on the pricier end of the spectrum for Baltimore restaurants. I also found it odd that they’re only sold by the half dozen.Service went from slow to inattentive which was funny to us as the restaurant cleared out as we were eating. We had both finished our drinks halfway through eating our meals and would have loved another round but our server didn’t reappear until we had finished. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice however, it’s very loud when full. Overall my husband and I agreed that the meal was good but this is not a place we’d come back to. For two small sandwiches with chips, a dozen oysters, and two beers we payed $82… it’s hard to justify spending this much on a small meal when service is so lacking.

OVERPRICED- TINY PORTIONS- AVERAGE DISHES- we had two of the half dozen oysters for 20$ each. Oysters were great of course. I would get this again.- cocktails ~10 per drink some were less, the two cocktails we had were excellent and would get these again.- burger ~16 average burger, very small patty, but fries portion was generous and delicious. Not worth it.- beets and ricotta ~13 literally feels like they dumped canned beets into a bowl with the tiniest amount of ricotta. It’s not really a coherent dish, not very tasty. Absolutely not worth it.- Coddie ~6 a SINGLE fried fish ball. Nothing special about this dish. Absolutely not worth it.After spending around 50$ a person we left hungry. Service, atmosphere, location is great! But I would return only for the oysters and cocktails. It’s just not worth it for the other dishes. The taste does not make up for the tiny portions and high prices.

Food was OK, prices were quite high and portions were shockingly small.

Love eating there but it’s odd that it’s called an oyster place since they are often out of oysters and they don’t seem that thrilled about making oyster sandwiches , which is why we come there

Food is amazing, servers were great. But we were there 1.5 hours for our (reserved) dinner and the hostess rudely came over to tell us that the next diners were there for our table. We had already paid and were clearly within minutes of leaving; there was no reason for it. I wish we hadn’t already paid and tipped before then, and probably won’t be back honestly. We have little kids and rarely get out for a date, so it was a bummer of an end to the night.

Dylan’s is Baltimore’s best oyster spot. The oyster selection is spot on, with representation for the best regions (PEI, Maine, Massachusetts, Washington state). There’s one oyster on the menu that’s particularly excellent: West Robins from New York.

We’ve been coming here for years and always have a fantastic meal. The butterflied trout is my favorite dish in the city. My wife and I don’t drink so we appreciate the attention paid to non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails on the menu. Tonight we had the valentines special (classic surf and turf), it did not disappoint.Dylan’s is as authentic as it gets. They have owners who care and it shows in the cozy atmosphere, the friendly and familiar faces of the staff, and the outstanding menu. I would be remiss not to mention they have the best selection of fresh oysters in Baltimore.

We were seated at a tiny high top and asked for a larger table. We were moved to an equally small table right next to another couple. Rather than beg for a normal table in a half empty restaurant we left and dined elsewhere.

I had never been to this Hampden gem until recently. We came right when they opened on a Friday night and things were already quite lively! They were able to seat us thanks in part to a cancellation. First let me tell you about the staff. The hostess was great and got us into a table right away. Our server was very attentive and helpful in steering us towards drinks and dishes that we ended up loving. But they also had bussers and bartenders that really made this place stand out to me as far as excellent service goes! Dishes were cleared right away, our waters were constantly being filled. When our drinks were running low, the bartender would come out and offer to take our order. I felt so well taken care of. And the food! The roasted oysters were the best thing that I have eaten recently! We ended up ordering a second plate of them because they were so good. It's super cozy in there, so whether you are on a date or a girls night out, or enjoying a great meal solo, Dylan's is fantastic and I can't wait to go back.

The bartenders make bar rescue look like amateurs! Great job guys! We'll be back!♥️?

I don't eat meat, so there aren't a ton of options here for me (which is to be expected from a place that is definitely seafood-forward), but the service is always great and I love getting the pickle back!My mom loved the coddie and my partner had the oysters and the anchovy and loved both!

One of the best restaurants in the city. One of the best burgers too, hidden within a list of seafood and oysters. Tiny space fills up quick, but exudes the kind of buzz that makes it feel special every time.
