I've been there a few times but the service takes a long time.

Ordered from here a week ago and received the wrong order. I was already 30min away, hungry and a little pissed. But I called and was told on my next order it would be discounted. I call and try and place my order and let the person know the situation and that my number should have been noted. They say in the span on 5 seconds or less that they asked their manager and they said no(did not hear them talk to anyone else and I just called). I don't like my time and money been wasted. I didn't make a big deal when I realized I received the wrong order because I thought I would be properly compensated, unfortunately this was not the case. In addition the person I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude. I used to come here at least once a week but now will be having my money to go people who respect me and the principal of things.

I didn't like the place at all, the food was very bad. We ordered a beef Milanese cake and it looked like you were eating plastic. Additionally, they charge you for the chips and salsa that they give you when you arrive as if it were part of the service, but friends do not charge you for it. And they also have the luxury of including the tip already in your account, according to them that from an account of 30dlls it is already mandatory. A total robbery!!! And all so that the food wasn't even worth it.

I will make the following comment in Spanish with the intention that all staff can read my latest experience:

First of all, I am not in the habit of commenting on my visits to restaurants because when a problem or difference occurs I resolve it through dialogue with the people responsible for said place.

However, this time I found no answer to what happened to me today.

I went this afternoon, in a bit of a hurry, to eat at one of the places that I thought (and I want to continue thinking) were one of the best places to find authentic Mexican food in the city. But what happened was completely the opposite:

I ordered what I have been accustomed to ordering at this place for years, and what I found was something totally different: I ordered a simple but (previously very good and tasty) Californian burrito and only received something wrapped in a tortilla with a little meat and cheese, but with lots of chips and cream.

Then I asked what had happened to the Californian burrito (and I received the following response from the waitress: if the Californian burrito comes like that, it's because that's how it's prepared). To which I asked another question saying: if they had changed the menu or preparation of this dish, because previously this same burrito was prepared (in this same place) with meat, cheese, French fries, Mexican rice, beans, avocado and cream.

After that situation, the same waitress tries to put someone on the phone through a loud voice to explain to me that the Californian burrito only has the ingredients with which the dish was prepared and that even if I wanted what I ordered, I would be charged as an extra.

Believe it or not, my surprise was greater because without being an expert in Mexican food, I had never seen a burrito without rice and beans.

Honestly, I didn't care if there was an extra charge what this person on the phone was pointing out, but why isn't it reported on the menu or somewhere else?

Believe me, I have known the place and the owners for many years and when someone asked me for a reference to a good Mexican restaurant, you, Taquito Mexicano, were always the first. But with the staff I met today, I hardly feel like making another reference to you in your favor.

I am very sorry to have to comment on this bad experience. Especially because I know the owner and his wife and I have seen how they have worked hard to maintain and improve the restaurant and carve out a space for themselves in the midst of the competition. But the situation that happened to me was not pleasant at all today. Even more so, when the wait to receive this simple dish was more than 15 minutes and the restaurant only had a table of two people at that time.

Despite this unfortunate situation from which I am not looking for any return, I still paid the ticket with tip included and it is because I also work in the industry and I understand that this can happen, but I did not have the chance to even eat the burrito that I expected and even less any response that would make this moment more bearable.

To the owners, I invite you to learn more about what happens with the processes of preparation and presentation of the dishes, as well as to learn more about how their staff provides service. I don't find it at all pleasant to see that both the preparation people and the waitress do not know and do not have the detail of what is contained in each dish they prepare.

I hope they can improve their processes in the short term so that other people do not have this bitter experience.

Absolutely spectacular - I haven't had chilequiles this good since my trip to Mexico City, and I get them as often as I can. The tepache suave was delicious and went perfectly. Beans and rice were perfection.I genuinely might go back tonight.

Vegetarian options: All the Mexican classic vegetarian options were available, and would be a spectacular choice
