Personally don't like their beer. But would go back for the food for sure. Service was also great.

Great brewery and restaurant. Best beer in Baltimore. Hidden gem. Friendly staff, great bartenders. Great food. Lots of room. Highly recommend !!

I’ve waited 18 months and 8 visits before rating this place and posting this review. First of all, I’ve loved every beer I’ve had here - except for the one I had today, it was just okay.

The space is huge and the decor is great, this could be such a great European-style brewery complete with a Biergarten in the back. The food is also excellent, even if just a little pricey. The events? The events are great! They have fun events and educational events and community events. Again, there is a lot of space and that works well for many great events.

But sadly, the service is mediocre at best and negligent at worst. And it’s not even the servers themselves, I’ve had some great servers, but there has never been enough staff for the amount of patrons. In my opinion, the problem comes from the lack of identity of this place. Is it a restaurant with table service? Is it a brewery with counter service? It looks like a brewery but “attempts” to operate as a restaurant. Why have table service if you are going to have a single server/bar person for about 14 tables of 6 and 10 barstools? That’s a lot of people for a single server, no matter how great she is. And she was great today! She was working so hard and had a positive attitude.

I guess I’m hoping the owners read this and realize they need to staff this place better, with more people, and with better trained people. During my visits I’ve experienced the following: poorly trained servers who didn’t know how to operate the handheld Toast device; servers who disappeared for more than 15 minutes; food that didn’t show up for over 30 minutes and when I inquired the server had to go to the kitchen and ask only to find out they had ‘dropped the food and the plate broke so they had to remake it’ but failed to inform anyone about this mishap; hosts that ignored me as I was standing by the front door for a while; upstairs bar that was meant to be staffed during an event but no one showed up which left 2 servers attempting to serve more than 80 thirsty and hungry patrons.

This place has so much potential, and people still show up. And I’ll probably still come for the events they have or to meet with friends who live in the area, but I’ll just sit at the bar and hope that’s a better experience. This place could be so much better and I’m really sad that it’s not.

Ten out of ten! Some of the most exceptional service we have experienced. Pups allowed outside. Only downside is the menu isn't available until 3pm unless you would like brunch. Beer was excellent. Will make the trip back to Baltimore to visit again!

Grilled Salmon with red peppers, cream sauce, and fingerling potatoes. Although this does not look like salmon when I got it, it was delicious

A solid 4 - liked it, but dinged by a few things. Pros: huge steins of traditional beer styles pair well with their flavorful German sausages; repurposed space is clean and relaxed. Cons: table service was lackluster for accuracy or speed; pricey versus comparable Baltimore brewpub spots.

I've been to Guilford Hall several times for the Profs & Pints events. I don't drink beer (allergies), so I can't say anything about that, but I can vouch for the excellent food and cocktails. The menu changes frequently (which is fun), and everything I have tried has been incredibly good. My favorite entree is the Steak Frites. You should try the pretzel with the house made mustard (the best mustard I've ever had, and I lived in Germany for a couple years). Prices are fair for the quality and quantity. I'm a big fan of pub food, but their menu is elevated way beyond that. I look forward to going back again and again.
