Simply a pop-up kitchen that would be better served as a food truck. There was a menu with 3 options and 1- adobo (which is what most wanna try for their first philipino dish) was not even available. Overpriced and may need to get more options rather than focusing on having patrons 'follow us on social media to see where we're at next week....'Solidly unimpressed and we went to another philipino restaurant nearby.

Heritage Kitchen sponsored the food for our NACE Baltimore meeting. The food was packed with flavor and pleasant change of cuisine. Loved the roasted brussell sprouts and the garlicky hummus!

I'm so glad I tried them out! The food is SO tasty. I got the Chicken Adobo, Shrimp Laing, and Arroz Caldo.I really wasn't sure at first, but upon hearing that they were closing at Whitehall the end of May- I went and got 3 dishes for takeout. The chef was very timely with the prep, it was packed well, and he was very nice. I hope Heritage Kitchen can continue in another different location! Will definitely come back!!

Amazing food. Casual family friendly space. Menu rotates so I'll be sure to check back

I've been dying to come to Heritage Kitchen for a while now. I don't find myself in Whitehall Mill often but I was in the area and in desperate need of some lunch. It was a rainy day and I knew some Filipino food would be just the thing to warm me up. I got the chicken adobo. It's chicken thighs over garlic fried rice and mixed cabbage. The dish is entirely gluten free and full of flavor. The chicken thighs were literally falling right off the bone - cooked to perfection and carefully marinated. I really loved the rice too. It was simple but something about it was just so so good. I felt like the cabbage was missing a little something - maybe hot sauce or chili oil? Nonetheless, it took a lot of self control to withhold myself from eating the entire thing and licking the plastic takeout container clean. One half of the dish ended up being the perfect portion size for lunch and the remainder heated up nicely the next day. Yum! I WILL be back.

Loved the Adobo chicken. The chef is so pleasant and moves quickly with great service. This meal was to go for $16 and the flavor is there. Check them out

My friends and I came here for a light snack as we were feeling a little hungry. We got the curry mung bean soup, fried garlic peanuts, and the lumpia (not pictured below). Food came out fairly quickly as it seems like it was only operated by one person. I really enjoyed the variety of food we got as I don't really eat anything with these flavors. Food came out nice and hot. Also, they had a lot of vegan/vegetarian options which was nice too as my friend had several options for dishes she could eat. The space was large too and clean, we had our choice of booths or a table to sit at. Be aware service is more like take out but you can choose to sit down and eat. Overall, I would recommend coming here and also within the space, there are other stands for coffee, tea, sandwiches, etc!

Let me put it this way: it's not the traditional Filipino food you expect. I must say it's certainly not the way my Lola used to cook. Maybe "loosely-based" on Filipino food. But not in a bad way! If anything, these dishes are boujie-fied.The meat in Pork Rib adobo was so fall-off-the-bone tender! The Shrimp Laing was delicious! It needed more pork belly pieces IMO, but it was so tasty. The pancit bihon was ok, it was too citrusy, I think they put in too much lime or lemon sprinkle. I make better bihon honestly; the garlic peanuts are overpriced for a small serving. But all in all, really not bad. And yes, I'll definitely come back to try their other dishes. And the ambiance is great. (See my review for Whitehall Market). I definitely recommend!

I popped into Whitehall for Wednesday jazz nights with a friend, and we opted to get food from Heritage Kitchen for the first time. Wow!! The majority of the menu was vegan in honor of it being Maryland Vegan Month, and let me tell you...that mung bean soup was out of this world. Truly was amazing. The chef also came out to chat with us and gave some really lovely pointers on introducing even more flavor into food, and shared some of his background. Chef, if you read this, please keep the soup on the menu, or share the recipe ;)Vegetarian options: I was there during vegan month so there was emphasis on providing those options at the time, but he always has the brussel sprouts on the menu and those are fabulous and meal in of themselves.

Delicious Filipino food! The Pancit, Chicken Adobo, and Shrimp Laing were all yummy! The fried peanuts had a lot of fried garlic--reminded me of home. Our one wish was that the dishes had a little bit more protein (but then again Filipino food is all about the rice ?). There were plenty of seating in the area; location was very nice and cozy with plenty of parking.

One of the best chefs I have ever had the pleasure of meeting!! Every single dish is prepared by Chef himself with such care, his love for the food is apparent in every bite. I love that he switches out some of the menu items so regularly! His staple dishes like pork adobo are always available for comfort food, but there's no shortage of new things to try each time I visit.

I've been coveting the photos of garlic chili whole shrimp laing on HK's Insta for what feels like years so getting there today was like meeting a celebrity. And it did not disappoint.I adore a chef and a dish who includes shrimp heads because FLAVOR and also food integrity (but mostly YUM). The shrimp were perfectly cooked and the rice was so delicately coconutty, with the lovely kale on top that had an added umami punch from the additional wee dried shrimpies therein. I'll be cooking kale like this from now on.And the crispy pork belly pieces just sealed the deal. The portion was generous and the chef (who was manning the stand solo - ie taking orders, cooking, and coming out after to check on us!) was absolutely lovely.GO RIGHT NOW! You will not regret it. I'll be back to try all the things.

I sing the praises of Heritage Kitchen to everybody and I mean EVERYBODY I know. Chef Rey Eugene is beyond talented, every bowl/plate of food feels like a hug. I've had the shrimp laing and pork aldo, and they're both spectacular. The shrimp laing is over coconut braised kale (delightfully fragrant and a little sweet) and jasmine rice that's cooked to perfection. Love the addition of whole shrimp which is hard to come by in a lot of restaurants. The pork aldo is a requirement for winter, it's the perfect pick me up. The tofu in the dish is a lemony and herby and seasoned to perfection. The porridge is the perfect consistency with chicken through out. This is one of those places that you stop by when you feel like you need a home cooked meal.

Top 3 restaurants in Baltimore. This place is incredible--Chef Rey Eugenio is beyond talented. If you like Filipino food, you'll love Heritage Kitchen. If you've tried Filipino food before but are on the fence, you'll love Heritage Kitchen. If you've never tried Filipino food, omg, you're in for a treat, because Heritage Kitchen will amaze you.The menu changes somewhat frequently but you can't go wrong with the pork adobo. It's seriously perfect. Really. Like there is no way to improve upon the execution of this dish. The pork is just the right amount of fatty any unctuous and is braised in a mouthwatering combo of vinegar, soy sauce, and spices. The garlic rice and greens that it's served over are also incredible! I love that the sides here are just as delicious as the mains.Yes, sometimes the food can take a bit to be ready, but it's 10000% worth it -- and you have plenty of other places you can browse in the market to pass the time.Eat here immediately!!
