I’m not sure why, but I had pretty high expectations that this was going to be an above average Chinese restaurant experience. The food is nothing to complain about, but nothing to brag about either. The service was also just OK. The food is flavorful and the service is good but the entree was too salty. If you don’t like heavy salt be sure to ask for less. The chicken felt a bit over marinated and the rice a tad on the dry side but that’s nit picking. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt and will go back. A lot of potential and a great spot.
This is one of my favorite Szechuan places in the city- and it's right down the street from my house! I love getting small plates-favorites are the soup dumplings, Dan Dan noodles, pickles, basil eggplant, and salt and pepper shrimp (surprisingly not that salty and fried to literal perfection -crispy outside, succulent inside)
It's great to go as a couple (if you can restrain yourself/count on leftovers) or as a big group (to get ALL THE THINGS!)....
