We went for brunch and celebrated a birthday. Had excellent service, fantastic food, beautiful day on the patio, weather behaved. I'll have to return for happy hour/ dinner sometime!
Had a great time at Maximum! The overall experience was solid — the ambiance and service were top-notch as always. You really can't go wrong with their margaritas and guac; they never miss. I ordered the steak this time. It was decent, but the salad on top had a bit too much vinegar for my taste — could've used a touch of sweetness to balance it out. That said, I'd absolutely go back. I just hope they bring back that amazing steak dish they used to have — the one with all the sauces and that delicious crunchy rice. It was one of the best things on the menu!
Food was absolutely delicious. Best soup I've ever had. And tuna tostada was ridiculous with the corn nuts. Excellent and attentive service.
It was great vibes and delicious. Served was knowledgeable about the menu and the ambiance was perfect.
Service was exceptional. Our waiter does a great service to the restaurant in his dedication to both the Four Seasons/Atlas and to his diners.
Absolutely amazing place! Food was beautifully presented and tased incredible. Service was kind, fun, and attentive--top notch! They made our daughter's 18th birthday celebration really special. And, you CANNOT beat the setting--we sat outdoors and the view was beautiful. Felt like we were on a tropical vacation! As a primarily vegetarian family, we had lots of tasty options. We ordered the heirloom corn/cheese quesadilla, black bean risotto, and the smoked/pickled mushroom taco. DELICIOUS! We also all shared guacamole and chips/salsa--both were flavorful. The one carnivore in the family had the palomilla steak and LOVED it. Highly recommend this gem in Baltimore!!
My only day in Maryland to try this restaurant; I was expecting the regular menu for lunch. I was disappointed to see the brunch menu at 3 PM.
Food and service at Maximon's was outstanding. Succelently cooked meat. Guac to rave about. Chips the best ever. Corn meal sourced from Oaxcaca. Jose is an excellent server. The party of 6 across from us was celebrating something. They were quite loud, one woman giggling obnoxiously. Without them, the venue would have been perfect, but what is Maximon's going to do? 6 high-rollers, or so they wanted you to think, for lunch? We'll be back.
Beautiful night and view of the Inner Harbor. Went prior to Jason Isbell concert that was literally steps away from the restaurant. Our server was very knowlegable and friendly. She made a number of great recommendations from the menu. So rare these days to go to a restaurant where the food is great, music isn't blaring and the staff is on the ball.
Maximon is a must visit for any Mexican cuisine or tequila lover! We went all in and had every taco on the menu, plus the wings and crab fritters!!!! Let me say, everything was a solid 10/10. Each bite was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. The vibe is upscale yet welcoming, and the staff? Absolutely amazing, attentive, kind, and full of great recommendations!!!! Whether you're there for the tacos, the handcrafted cocktails, or the deep tequila selection, Maximon delivers on every front. We'll definitely be back. This spot is an experience you don't want to miss!

Food and service was great. The only issue I have is the hostess expected us to sit in a seat with a lot of bugs. The hostess, a tall woman, response was that there are bugs everywhere, with a look of just deal with it. However, when I pushed to be seated elsewhere, somehow the new seat had no bugs. The other hostess I witnessed finding another seat right away for guests that came right after us with the same issue about the bugs.
I had a mixed experience, the food was wonderful and the ambiance was very nice. However, my server seemed a bit unconcerned with me as a guest. After being given the menu, it was about 15 minutes before my server came back to get my appetizer. I expected them to return at some point before or during the time I was eating the app, but by the time they came back around, 30-40 minutes into my meal, my appetizer was finished and I was just then putting in my food and drink order. To the credit of the server, whenever they stopped by I did find the service to be very helpful. The ambiance was good but the vibe was a bit loud. I will certainly try again.
Our waiter David we great! The Chef did a great job with the presentation and taste of the food. The roasted chicken was perfectly cooked, and the Shrimp Tacos and Caesar Salad were great as well. We will recommend and return in the future!
Took my husband to celebrate Father's Day and we had a great time. The food delicious, that was the best guacamole I ever had. Would definitely recommend and return
Father's Day Disappointment We decided to try Maximon Restaurant for their Father's Day special and left extremely disappointed. The $75 plate was advertised by our server as a meal for two, which made sense given the price — but it turned out to be just one poorly executed entrée. The "double the brisket and steak" was misleading, and to make matters worse, the steak came out undercooked and had to be sent back. When it finally returned, it was barely improved. The taste was bland, and nothing about the meal justified the high price. This was supposed to be a special treat, but instead, it felt like we were overcharged for a subpar experience. I've had better meals at half the cost elsewhere. If you're looking for flavor, value, and honest service — I suggest looking elsewhere. Maximon
