Cute cafe, but pricey with limited options. I had the iced chai and lemon loaf. The loaf was good. The chai could be sweeter. I ordered on the iPad, which was pretty easy. Indoor and outdoor seating is provided. There is a variety of styles of indoor seating (table & chairs or couches). Penn Station and The Charles Theatre are right around the corner. Street parking available.

Black-owned, veteran-owned safe space for all? Need I say more? This space has abundant desirable seating, friendly service, beautifully curated art and plants, and community postings and resources. They have perfected their small menu selection, of which I enjoyed a robust bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwich and an iced latte. The espresso and milk were balanced and made for a much needed wake-me-up. The sandwich was hot, made with real ingredients and was filling. This cafe is just a few blocks from Penn Station Baltimore and is worth a stop if you find yourself taking the JHU shuttle or heading just about anywhere.

Loved the ambiance and earthy look of this cafe. I was pleasantly greeted and shown how to use the kiosk to order. Since it was my 1st visit, I liked being left alone to decide what I wanted. I'll definitely be back....Such a neat little gem to escape to!

Loved the ambiance and earthy look of the cafe. I was pleasantly greeted and shown how to order from the kiosk. Since it was my first visit, I personally liked not being 'rushed' into buying something. Such a neat little gem to escape to!

I don’t tend to leave reviews, but my experience was pretty bad and the restaurant either needs to step it up or you should go elsewhere. My latte was fine, but the barista working had a horrible attitude and the banana bread had to be several days old. My order had been slightly messed up, which was fixed and I was given cookies as an apology. Also, many days old!

While the space itself is gorgeous and is a good place to sit down and get some work done, the customer service is non existent and the food/coffee are a let down. For some reason you have to order through a tablet even though the barista is standing right in front of you behind the counter. They don't even greet or acknowledge people as they arrive. The coffee is not great. And as for the food: I ordered the avocado toast. I'm pretty sure t's one piece of bread sliced in half and to call it "toast" is generous. I'm fairly certain that what I got was a piece of untoasted bread with some avocado spread over it. Considering how pricey this place is, I expected much better.

The spot is kind of cute - Nice view of the Penn Station building. Abundant outdoor seating too. I appreciated the artwork and community flyers. Seems like it’s all local Black artists, which is a plus for me. Also, I liked that you could order using an iPad and that felt efficient. However, if you’re a fan of Mochas and like them on the rich and flavorful side, this spot might not be for you. I ordered an iced mocha and it tasted like nothing but liquid sugar, so honestly wasn’t drinkable for me.The menu is incredibly sparse. They seem to offer only cookies and bananas on their pastry menu, and not much for food besides bagels, which I wasn’t super confident would be good just because of the way the space is kept (all the plants are dying and the fridge display case was messy looking.

I’ve never seen a 12oz latte for $8 in my entire life until I came to this place and I live in NYC… how are you charging $1.50 to add a shot of flavor that’s not even made in-house??? And the pretty standard upgrade to oat milk is .50c, and yet it’s $1.25 here - how are you price gouging me that hard for having a dairy allergy? I’ve never seen a coffee shop THIS overpriced before, it’s actually shocking.

This is such a neat local spot to relax, work, chill, read, whatever. The space is open. A few cute plants. Comfy seating. Lots of windows and natural light. The vibe is nice. It's quiet. The service is fast. Both the workers andcustomers are friendly. The coffee is FIRE. Fire as in good. I just wish it was served a little hotter actually. I've only been twice, both times ordering drip coffee and it was room temperature. I like hot coffee and hot tea. I love the almond croissants but they're also toasted a little too much, again, tasty though!I'm so glad I finally tried Milk & Honey. It's only 5 minutes from home and such a comfortable place to get your studying on :)

When they're good they're good, but it has been so hit or miss during 2022 so far. Often there has been just one staff member, who is either lucky enough to catch their breath, or busy taking care of an entire cafe by themselves.Today, a Tuesday, I came in around 930, put in an order for a latte and a sandwich (they were out of a LOT options), and as I finished up another order came in, followed by three groups of 3-4 people each. The lone-worker went from humming along to immediately stressed, and worryingly had to let new folks coming in the wait was going to be 20-30 minutes. In a matter of minutes the vibe in the cafe went from easy going to stressed, awkward, and kind of uncomfortable. While I am not a fan of the self-order screens, I do understand wanting to streamline things, and sure COVID has its own implications. But it seems like the choices Milk & Honey (Vagrant) has made, not only isolates the customer and staff, but is actively creating a silo that is ripe for uncertainty and stressful moments.I've always enjoyed my drinks, and their breakfast sandos are solid (well, when they aren't out of half the menu). My 3/5 is to mainly reflect the environment they've created that seems unfair to the staff, and awkward for the customer.

I’m not sure what’s going on at this location but it’s not good and has been going downhill since last summer. There are a couple of very nice people that work there and are helpful, but some of the other baristas act like I’m bugging them when I ask a question. Honestly, when you’re out of iced coffee and you answer that question by just shaking your head I wonder why I keep coming back. I’m there frequently enough and spend over $15 every visit, at least help me out.No offer to make some iced coffee, just an air of “I’m busy.”Also…where’s all the stuff? There’s never any consistency between snacks, cold brew, iced coffee, pastries, chocolate. I’m considering just calling ahead to see if they have what I want, but I live about 150’ away and that seems absurd to have to do. The gas station 1 block up is more reliably stocked.I buy and shop local first and foremost, but I find myself going to other coffee places more often than here because I can rarely get the same stuff twice.

I love supporting my local businesses and have made an effort to support milk and honey. I'm super frustrated by the online system. It doesn't match what they have in stock. I paid for an ice coffee but got a regular coffee and the ice coffee price.

Pigtown location was great last week, so I stopped past this one and it was completely different!*Pros: bright, beautiful, clean cafe with plenty of seating*Cons: there are no snacks and nothing in the pastry case but one type of cookie and Red Bull (weird, lol)....barista is aloof to the point of seeming rude/snobby (yes you order by touchscreen but would saying hello or thank you be too much?).... Cappuccino foam had no body to it, it fizzled out in a minute or 2 (I hate being that person, but come on, it's a $4 coffee; put in a little effort! Foam should not be all air).... When not making a drink, the barista stayed hidden in the back out of sight. Potential customers came in several times and looked around, confused and then just walked out. A couple even mumbled "does anyone work here"? Sad

My latte was good, however there are two areas this place needs to tighten up in... Customer Service and Cleanliness. When I walked up to the counter, the barista just looked off into space for a while, then stared at me for a while (I wondered if he was ever going to acknowledge me.. which was extremely strange)... finally, he asked if I knew what I wanted. There are corners of the establishment that have side chairs and a couch with a coffee table. I chose to seat myself in the couch corner. The coffe table was filthy and so was the couch.

This location's use of discredited "hygiene theater" COVID mitigation practices really undermines its appeal.1. All cups are to-go. This is not only wasteful, it really undermines the taste of the good Vagrant coffee they have, and the appeal of sitting over a cup of coffee. Surface transmission from porcelain cups is not a thing.2. All ordering is done by screen. I felt like I had to click through 10 screens to order coffee, while the barista was standing right there. I do not believe in-person ordering at the counter creates a health risk. It felt like a Wawa, and very unwelcoming/impersonal. Also, they could have at least posted a menu on the wall, not just on the screens (when we asked what they have food wise, the barista curtly said, "it's on the screens.")3. My food (breakfast sandwich) was not good at all.
