The chicken momos and accompanying sauce were terrible to say the least. Poorly balanced spices and mishandled aromatics.Definitely not what you would expect from a Nepalese restaurant.

The most concerning issue was finding a hair in my rice pudding, which was completely unacceptable. On top of that, the buffet items were just average at best, and the vegetable pakoras were especially hard, as if they had been sitting since the previous day. I didn’t want to make a scene, so I simply left. Unfortunately, this experience left a very poor impression. This was my third visit and past two was awesome…

Best Indian food we had in Baltimore out of many that we tried. A little bit on an expensive side but worth it in my opinion. Staff is friendly and ambience is nice and quiet. Was surprised to see very less number of reviews on this restaurant and therefore was apprehensive to visit at first but totally loved the food.

The food was really good, not too spicy. I tried everything they had in the buffet and everything was great. Naan is included with the buffet.

I'm from New York and have had indian and Nepali food a lot but this one is definitely on the top 3 I've ever had. Very fresh and authentic plus very wide menu with a lot of options for vegetarian. Salmon tiki was outstanding coming back again for sure.

Tucked near the Inner Harbor and just a short walk from the National Aquarium (which I also highly recommend), Mount Everest Restaurant is an underrated spot that’s easy to miss—but absolutely worth a visit.
The atmosphere was clean and quiet. When we arrived, we were the only guests for about 15 minutes before a small family came in. It’s surrounded by larger restaurants and chain spots, so it might not catch your eye at first—but don’t let that fool you. The staff was kind and attentive, and the overall experience was excellent.
We ordered the Himalay Junelly ($21.99), noted as Mount Everest’s famous dish with 25 different ingredients. It’s a creamy mix of homemade paneer and vegetables like cauliflower, carrots, potatoes, and green pepper, all infused with special Nepali spices. The portion looked small at first glance, but it was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. The rice was well-cooked and paired perfectly with the dish.
We also shared the Chef’s Special Assorted Combo Platter ($12.99), which came with samosa, pakora, and aloo tikki. All were tasty, but the samosa was the standout—crispy and well-seasoned. It also came with some sauces.
The menu offers a wide variety of vegetarian options, which I really appreciated. Prices were reasonable for the quality of food, and I’ve attached photos of the menu pages we ordered from, with prices.
If you’re in the area and want something flavorful and comforting, Mount Everest Restaurant is a fantastic pick. Highly recommend!

Stopped by off the sidewalk for a late lunch one weekday afternoon, and got the buffet. We were served a fresh basket of hot, buttery naan bread and everything we tried from the buffet was delicious! Service was very attentive, and masala tea came with the buffet!
