Their chicken is great, but their pork is so bad. They dont treat it right and are just careless with any pork dishes.

I am from NYC and we have some of the best Chinese restaurants in the country. This place can hold it's own against some of the best in NYC. The food here is absolutely delicious. I've only been here twice. We ordered braised pork belly, kung pow chicken, eggplant in garlic sauce,, sweet and sour fish. Everything was excellent.

Out of Towne’s grabbing a quick takeout, the food was excellent, a little spicy and quite fresh.

Love this place, love their food and the authentic options. No other Chinese restaurant in Baltimore measures up to Orient Express. Always fast and spicy. I don’t understand why there are all these recent bad reviews, maybe sabotage from newer competitors….I’ve been coming here for years and I have never had a bad meal. I recommend it to everyone!

Frankly…this place sorta sucks. I’ve ordered here many times because it’s a local/small business but the food has always been bland at best. I’ve given them multiple times to improve figuring it may have been a bad day…but nope.

Sorry guys but when it comes to a local Chinese food joint I’d take the extra effort and go somewhere else.

Plus the staff has always and consistently been unfriendly and problematic.

My review: 0-1 stars. I’m being optimistic.

I went for a quick dinner and ordered the Beef noodle soup. Fast Service, but the food tastes just fine. It's good portion and Worth the price.

Apparently they are Red Pepper (same menu) and I don't have to go all the way to Towson. :) 🌶

Five Stars. 4 for Atmosphere only because they're always busy; mostly. Very patient and welcoming staff. Able to cook variations of both heat and sweetness for all dishes. Up there with Changs near Hopkins Med and Chius in Greenspring Sta.

If you ask how long the food will be ready, they will definitely say just 5 minutes. But will take at least half hour.

As my second experience at this particular restaurant, I must say, I wish I could give it all five stars, however, both times the women were extremely rude! My first time was with an elderly Asian woman who seemed as though she would have rather had daggers instead of eyes because the more kind and polite I was to her the meaner and more rude she was towards me. This second time I was very pleasantly surprised to meet the owner whom was a man that was beyond generous and very kind to everyone as I saw, and he was very willing to answer any questions that I had and very humbly accepted all of my praises and compliments as I must admit that my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals and was very possibly the most genuine Chinese cuisine we both agreed we’d ever had in the Baltimore area and quite possibly for myself anywhere I have travelled in the US. Please believe me when I say that I have extensively traveled and have eaten at some of the most high end Oriental establishments! We rather quite enjoyed ourselves all the way up to packing up our leftovers and washing up in the rather clean restroom and upon exiting I ran into this middle aged Asian woman who throughout our meal I had noticed her looking at us with such disdain on her face that I chalked it up to her must have had a not so good night which we all can relate to, but me being who I am and believe that a smile and positivity can ultimately change someone’s night around even if for but a few moments especially when your customer is smiling and thanking them for such a wonderful meal and wishing her a very great evening but boy was I wrong! Instead of a returned smile and possibly a thank you was not in store for my departure of what I was expecting to become a new favorite place to dine! Instead I was quite clearly ignored, got to see what her eyes looked like when she rolled them at me and took her leave with a huff and puff which prompted me to lose my own smile and I couldn’t help but to call back and inform the very friendly owner of the way she treated myself and my partner and that besides her and the elderly lady from months earlier his restaurant had the potential to take over the authentic Chinese restaurant food and experience! He was very apologetic but that does not excuse the treatment of the female workers who I have had the unfortunate experience of meeting! So in conclusion of just one polite, kind, and positive man’s experience I would definitely recommend that you experience the food but would suggest take out unless you wish to be ogled and made to feel uncomfortable by the viscous vixens that are in and out of the back of the restaurant seemingly to scare away the paying customers! I honestly felt bad for the gentleman that claimed to be the owner because the only reason I could think of a kind man as he was to allow such unfriendly women to be a part of his staff is because they must be related! Poor fellow!!
