The food here is good, that's not my problem with this place. My problem with Pastore's is that they don't change their gloves between make sandwiches. I witness one the guy making sandwiches, slide his hands cross the counter and ask if anybody need to order, and then went and made a person's sandwich with the same gloves. The older guy that works there, like to keep a pencil behind his ears, for quick access to write on the sandwich wrapper, with gloves on, he's touching his hair, and only God knows if he washed behind his ears. Then he goes and make another sandwich with the same gloves. They all go to the back with gloves on, Who knows what they touching back there. The few times I went, I would get lucky and get helped by someone who didn't have gloves on so they had to put on new gloves. But, the other day I wasn't so lucky and just said no thanks and walked out.

I've been seeing this restaurant for years whenever I drive in the area, so I decided to give them a try for a work event. The overall consensus was Good, not excellent, and not fair. The pros, delivery driver was exceptional, he called twice to verify the location and was 15 minutes early which I loved! A few of my colleagues ordered the junior subs and 3, including myself ordered salads and chicken ceasar salad and the Italian salad. The cons, wish they had more vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options, especially seeing that a lot of ppl these dats having stricter dietary needs. The consensus is, they wish the sandwiches had more meat and the salads were a little bit bigger, but I understand it was lunch boxes lol. And I'm sure if we ordered the same from the restaurant, just as a regular order it would definitely be fuller.

Fridays I get the Italian Cold Cut special $5.99. Best deal in town. Any other day I lean toward chicken salad on rye. Perfect sandwich shop atmosphere and everything is delicious.

I want to start off saying that all I had was a chicken salad sub for lunch..... I didn't try the Italian food. The chicken salad was okay. It was kind of bland. But most places don't put any onions and celery in things. Then people complain about it. The people there were nice and the prices weren't bad. I would still go there and try Italian food.

True local places. When I worked in Rosedale I would go here once a week. Something about the bread alone makes this subs so great. Anytime Iām in Rosedale I go here.

Delicious
I had a Rueben paining with coleslaw and fries. The Reunwn was great! The coleslaw was extremely small, it was the equivalent of a tablespoons worth and very dry. No mayo just shredded cabbage and carrots. My husband had a barbecue pulled pork sandwich on a sub roll. Very dry the meat had no juice. We will return but we will try some different things
I had a craving for a deli sandwich after birding Hart-Miller Island and found this little deli a short drive away. I asked the woman at the counter to make me a sandwich. She made me a salami and cheese sandwich with the works. I got some Amish potato salad too. She was very friendly and got the sandwich made super fast. Both it and the potato salad were yummy. And the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this place for a quick yummy deli sandwich.
