I've been a loyal customer to this pastry shop for a while now, often stopping by on my way to my nearby restaurant. My husband absolutely loves the pastries here, and I've made it a habit to pick some up whenever I can. But last week, I had an experience that left me deeply hurt and angry.

The staff member I dealt with that day was nothing short of rude. When I politely requested additional pastries, her response was nothing short of abusive. She screamed, “What are you mad about? Did I tell you I was done?” in front of my child and other customers, completely disregarding the fact that her behavior was not only unprofessional but also deeply offensive.

When i brought it up, she doubled down on her behavior instead of apologizing and then tried to offer my child some free cookies that I turned down (I am not a beggar and I can pay for anything I want). She basically called me an ANGRY BLACK WOMAN for no reason and tried to make it right with a COOKIE? Even more insulting.

This wasn’t an isolated incident. From the moment I walked in, her attitude was brash and dismissive. When I asked if they had more of a specific pastry, she snapped, “What you see here is all we have,” as if I was somehow inconveniencing her with my request. Her behavior was unacceptable, and it made me feel disrespected and degraded.

I feel disrespected and degraded, and I will no longer support a business that allows such toxic behavior. This incident has made me realize that I can no longer patronize this establishment. I urge others to be cautious of the treatment they may encounter here. This will be my last visit.

Some of their pastries are very good, others are mediocre.

As others have pointed out the service is lackluster. I’ve been in multiple times when there has been a small line (never out the door) and the one or two employees behind the counter are nonchalantly going about their business. It seems like they will go out of their way to move as slowly as possible.

It’s unfortunate because as I said, some of their pastries are really good. The most memorable thing about this place though is that it’s clear, the people who work there would much rather be somewhere else.

Parking: Drive past the store front to the parking lot next to building.

This review is strictly off of being rudely told over the phone that there were no macarons at 2:45pm on a Tuesday, how does a macaroon focused bakery even operate selling out of macarons? Isn’t this their core product? When I tried to ask when they may have more macarons, I was told that the individual was done talking. This location cant possibly be owned by the same owner that’s in Georgetown. I’ve been there and even talked to the owner who is lovely, something is definitely off, big time. The macarons in Georgetown were amazing so I’m sorely disappointed and things need to be improved asap as this type of customer service experience can poorly impact one’s desire to look for hard to find parking and visit the bakery.

Very rude woman at the counter would not speak to me and only spoke to my husband. She made multiple rude comments to me, maybe because I was in a hurry? And their pastries are just fine. I will not be returning.

Chaos at the counter left both staff flustered. New ordering system added to the problem. Stick with takeout until the glitches get sorted out. Excellent food makes it worth the effort.
