Thanks so much the cooks and waitresses that made out experience amazing. This was a buck list restaurant for my girl friend and I wanted to make it perfect for our 2 year anniversary. The wine connoisseur really listened to what the occasion was for and what we're going to eat for the perfect wine pairing. He really knocked it out of the park. We both love his recommendation. And ALL the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere, low lighting, and love music (the musician was HITTIN every note) made the experience amazing. We will be back for sure!
Service was very slow even though at 7pm on a Saturday I'd guess no more than 20% of the tables were occupied. After ordering extra anchovies on a Caesar salad, it came with none because they were out of anchovies. Had I been told this I would have ordered a different salad. It was difficult to get pepper for our salads. My $70 NY strip was a thin $20 cut. A drink ordered half way through the dinner was never served. The food and service sadly do not match the lovely ambiance of the Rec Pier Chop House. Now we know why business was so slow on a Saturday Spring evening.
Great food and service. They were attentive to my gluten allergy. Loved listening to the singer/pianist
Upscale atmosphere with sub par service made for a poor overall experience with a high price tag. I'm sure service is normally better here but this night it was bad. Service affected the atmosphere, the way food was prepared and overall dining experience.
My third time here and they did not disappoint! Was celebrating my anniversary and when the hostess realized that, she offered us a better table! The waitress and staff acknowledged our special day and made sure we were accommodated the entire time! The food and drinks are always satisfactory so that was a given! Thank you all!
I'm assuming that the Rec Pier Chop House is having issues with staffing levels. While the food was excellent, there were some unusual lapses with the service. My wife and I arrived about 8 minutes prior to our reservation time and the hostess asked us to wait in the lounge instead of seating us (the restaurant was about 40% full at that time). 10 minutes AFTER our reservation time, I circled back to the hostess and asked to be seated. She accommodated the request, but didn't seem to think about seating us if I did not ask. Once seated, the waitress was pleasant and knowledgeable. The manager stopped by the table a couple of time to help fill water glasses and offer assistance to the wait staff. There were usually long gaps between visits by the waitress to take appetizer orders, entre orders, intermediate check ins, dessert orders and the dreaded long wait period to return with the final bill to sign after paying via credit card. I'm also still unsure if we were scammed by the valet. Is validated parking for the restaurant really $20? The valet said it was $45 without validation and $20 with validation. I still tipped the valet on top of the fee, but I would suggest posting signage outside to spell out the valet charge for restaurant patrons.
If you are expecting good service and a reasonable wait time do not come here. The menu selections are extremely limited as well and everything is a la carte.
When we arrived there was a couple on one side of us and a group of guys on the other side. We thought they were just chatting after finishing up their food. No, they were still waiting on their food! I believe it was about 35 minutes before they received their food 'after' we were seated.
The $70 well done steak that was ordered arrived with pink meat and no steak knife. It was replaced with a charbroiled steak that was 5% still pink.
The 'jumbo' cocktail shrimp was the size of medium cooked shrimp from Wegmans. "Let's say something is jumbo so we can stick a $25 price tag on it for (4) shrimp."
The potatoes lacked seasoning.
Our waitress with the braids kept forgetting things we asked for. Legend has it she still has the steak sauce that was requested.
Unbeknownst to me, the bottle of moscato d'asti was $77. That sweet 'wine cooler'was NOT worth the price.
We will never come hwre again and will return to The Ruxton restaurant instead where I found the service and food exceptional.

The overall atmosphere is a ten. Our service was exceptional. My wife and I were catered to exceptionally. We never felt rushed and had a well spaced out meal. This was our second time dining here and won't be our last.

I recently visited Rec Pier Chop House in Baltimore while in town from NYC, and had an amazing experience. My waiter, Suko, provided exceptional service throughout the evening. His recommendations were spot on—I enjoyed a perfectly cooked ribeye steak and a martini, along with a few other dishes he suggested. The food, atmosphere, and personalized service made my visit unforgettable. I highly recommend this spot and will definitely return next time I’m in town!

It was our first time there and everything was AMAZING. It was our 11th anniversary and my wife was super impressed with the food, atmosphere, service, etc. This is now one of our local favorite restaurants. HUGE shout out to Damon. He is a master of his craft. Knowledgeable, friendly, the list could go on about this guy. The best service experience I've ever had. Looking forward to visiting again and asking for our favorite server. Thanks Again for making the night special.

Chose this restaurant for an anniversary dinner for my girlfriend and I. The ambiance is top notch and the service of the staff can't be beat. The food was excellent. My girlfriend had a crab cake and that was cooked excellently and the freshest Caesar salad I've ever seen. The Linguini Fini was phenomenal and the jalapenos really made it stand out. Top it all off with a good wine and the dinner experience was grand from start to finish.

Service was slow and I had to keep getting up and find somebody to get water. Why they don't leave a picture of water after they fill your glasses up I don't know.
The branzina was delicious. Love that spicy olive oil. The pesto chicken and pasta was terrible. It was watery and the chicken was super dry. It was like a dry pork chop. The only reason she ate it is because she was starving. It took too long to get a glass of water let alone send something back and wait.
If you love fish eat the branzino.
Charcuterie was good too.
