Looks better than it tastes. The chicken barley had flavor. The spicy sauce is hot as hell, be careful!! Not bad for the price but I was very disappointed I highly doubt they used seasoning when cooking the chicken.

No indoor seating but I don't care!!! It's so good and I ate so fast, nobody wants to see that! I had 3 tacos and a gas station burrito pretty sure I seen heaven!

I got the gas station burrito—don’t let the name fool you. It was incredibly filling, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor in every bite. They don’t skimp on sauce either—everything came with generous portions that made the meal even better. You can tell they care about the details and the taste. Parking is the only downside—parallel, paid street parking only—so plan ahead. But honestly, it’s 100% worth the hassle. This place feels like a true local favorite, and now I know why. Can’t wait to go back or check out other locations.

Went for taco Tuesday and the chicken and steak were so dry I could barely chew. Ended up throwing away the 3 tacos because it was awful. Calling whatever “meat” I took a bite of steak, is horrific because it looks and tasted like they just died their chicken with taco sauce to make it look brown like steak. Not sure how they have any accolades unless they paid for that “best burrito” or they for got to leave out the part where it is according to their mom

The employees were rude, and the food was not worth it. I went on 10/19 one two o’clock in the morning I would not recommend a homeless individual even if the food was free! My lady stated the steak taco was nasty(looked like canned dog food). When I was incarcerated I could put oodle noodles, cheese, sweat baby rays bbq sauce, mayo, chips, and what ever was on the trays and it tasted way better than what ever those taco tasted like. I apologize to the business owner it’s your employees I’m assuming.
Rubens is everything you want from a takeout burrito window. No frills, just a huge, quality burrito, that you can order late. The founder's burrito is hands down the best burrito I have ever had. Cali burrito is also bomb. Its expensive for takeout, but for me, its worth it - and they have cheaper options if you don't want double meat, extra cheese, add guac etc., the prices are normal

Rubens Mexican food was 5 star! He came out and handled an event for me at lighthouse point Marina. Everyone raved about the food. Delicious! I hope you get to try his Mexican food! Quality 5, Service 5, Thank you! I hope to use him again next year.

Are you drunk? Stoned? Up late? If you answered yes to any of these questions then you definitely need a burrito from Ruben’s. It’s perfectly located adjacent to the rowdy fed hill bars and open later than any other place in the area. The fact that it’s takeaway only operating out of a a single service just adds to the late night munchies vibe. I will say, everything is like 4 dollars too much and the tacos are meh.
