Construction all around building with no signage on how to get in. Tried to visit from out of state and could not get a drink at 730pm which was when we came in by the time we figured out where to go. Last call time should be on website. Disappointed and frustrating and waste toll money to be turned away.

Really enjoyed our distillery tour. Jake, our tour guide, was friendly and very informative. Also had some fabulous cocktails at the on-site lounge with views of the Patapsco River. Cheers!

Mike was a great tour guide, the tour is really informative and great value for money. Everybody at Sagamore is really friendly and the facilities are really cool in a nice neighbourhood of Baltimore. Highly recommended.

I took the brunch cocktail making class and then the tour of the distillery. The class was so fun and the cocktails we made were delicious! The distillery itself is really impressive. It was awesome to see the behind the scenes.

Christine was a WONDERFUL tour guide - thank you for the informative and well spoken walk about the grounds and deep dive into the great history behind why Sagamore does what it does. A true gem of the Maryland whiskey scene... they are doing big things. Jump on board now and enjoy what they are crafting with a deep ethos and pathos!

This place is awesome!!! A must do if your a whiskey drinker or like to "see how it's made". Our host ( the pretty sista with the natural curls) made the experience even more better. Their product speaks for itself; being from AZ they treated me like gold. Gonna do it again just because.

Some friends and I took a tour on 3/2 and it was great (in spite of the weather). The tour includes the whole production line and you're able to get hands on with some of the equipment. Our tour guide, Paige, was very informative and made it an enjoyable experience. The tastings offered ran through several of their whisky offerings, including an on-location-only collaboration. When the weather is nice the campus looks like an awesome place to hang out or go for a casual date. I will definitely be returning!

What a fantastic find! The flight of ryes was great and the entire staff were lovely. Christine gave us a great background on the history of the distillery, and Jonathan helped us navigate the different ryes and also let us know which ones we could only find there. Highly recommended for anyone who likes rye whisky!

Best tour ever and Keyah, our tour guide was awesome. Be sure to try an Esspresso Ryetini at the bar.

Our guide, Russel was super knowledgeable and we had a great time touring around the facilities. Really lovely place to visit to learn more about the history and the people are so friendly here! Will come back to get more whisky?

Missed our tour by 15 minutes, couldn't stay for the next one. Sagamore refused to credit us our full price for the tour. Guess Plank needs the money more than I do.

This was my first time visiting the distillery and I had a blast! My friend and I completed a tour and whiskey tasting. I learned so much about the making of rye whiskey and it's beautiful, deep history in Maryland. So if you love Maryland, this is the tour for you! It was easy to find parking, there is a large parking lot adjacent to the property. It was a little hard to find the front entrance due to construction, but we eventually found the front entrance. The tour started on time and it was approximately 45-60 minutes. The tour guide is energetic, informative, and Maryland spirited, which I loved! This tour gave me a deep appreciation of Maryland's history and the mission of Sagamore to bring back Rye Whiskey to many people's attention, because heck it's been around longer than Kentucky Burbon (which I also love). At the end of the tour, we had a guided tasting. Overall I had a great experience, I do wish there were more snacks available at the bar to eat so that we have some food after having strong whiskey. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, but I did not appreciate a staff member's "joke" about driving home while under some influence of whiskey, that is certainly not a good look! Such commentary takes away from the inclusive, safe experience of whiskey tasting. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone interested in a whiskey tasting, especially Maryland enthusiasts! But make time aside to just rest after the tour to explore the town or watch the pretty sailboats float in the backyard of Sagamore.

So there we were, smack in the middle of the holiday season, on a quest for the ultimate in DIY holiday cheer. Sagamore's Classic Cocktails Class was calling our names because, let's face it, who needs a bartender when you can learn to shake and stir like a pro yourself? We navigated our way through Port Covington, just past the future Under Armour HQ, found a spot in the parking lot of the future Rye Tavern Restaurant, then wound our way along the future sidewalks past the future occupancy apartment buildings.Clearly Baltimore's version of a Chinese Ghost City, the only signs of life were two rent-a-cops on patrol. Were we too late for the apocalypse? Had the city been evacuated, and we missed the memo? Note to self: always check FEMA alerts before heading to Port Covington. The Sagamore Distillery itself stood as a beacon of civilization in this eerily quiet landscape. Its massive gift shop tempted us with all things Sagamore branded -- booze, cocktail sets, clothes, and yes, even candles. We snagged one because nothing says Rye Whiskey like a sandalwood scented soy candle with hints of amber and musk.Eventually we were summoned into a classroom setting with two tiers of tables and chairs facing a huge set of screens displaying crime-free photos of the Baltimore waterfront (clearly computer generated). Now, as a devout Old Turkey enthusiast, I approached Sagamore Rye with a mix of skepticism and...more skepticism. It was a sacrifice I was willing to make for the sake of yuletide merriment. Our instructor, Jake, embodied the quintessential distillery worker -- bearded, LL Bean-ish, John Deere style baseball cap, someone who clearly knows his way around a vat of corn mash.I suspected many of our fellow classmates leaned more towards Orange Crushes and Fireball shots in their regular repertoire of libations, rather than Sazeracs and Black Manhattans. But hey, who am I to judge? Jake masterfully guided us through the alchemy of cocktail preparation, arming each student with the tools and ingredients to craft a Sazerac and a Black Manhattan. All the while, he regaled us with tales of Maryland Rye Whiskey -- a tipple with a sweeter and milder profile compared to its rye counterparts. In conclusion, if you ever find yourself wandering through the empty streets of Port Covington, wondering if everyone else got the memo about the evacuation, do yourself a favor: head to Sagamore's Classic Cocktails Class. It's a fantastic way to spend an evening, learning the art of mixology while pondering the mysteries of urban development.
