This family run restaurant never fails to serve up incredible food that tastes like it was made at home. Among other things, you must start with the Julia salad and then order any of their delicious pastas. The service at the bar is also fantastic. Don't miss this place.

Stopped in for the first time before the Buddy Guy show at the Lyric. My wife got the special, crab and lobster ravioli and I got the veil parmigiana and vodka pasta. Everything was wonderful and delicious !! Service from three different folks and everyone was very attentive and friendly. Definitely our new go to place before a show or even if we are in town. Thanks for a Great start of a Perfect evening!!!!

Always enjoy our visits to Sammy's. Nice to see a big crowd on Saturday night. Excellent service as usual by Carly. Tasty chicken dishes always a favorite as are the salads. Look forward to our next meal there.

We discovered Sammy's Trattoria because of the close proximity to the Lyric. I am so glad we did. Everything about it has been amazing. The food and service is so spectacular, we had to share it with our friends from Michigan. They loved it too. It is our new favorite restaurant.

we were seated in the basement. it was freezing, many kept their coats on. it felt like a family's rec room. we arrived at our table with cut bread already there, no cover. it took at least 10 minutes to see someone come to our table. often felt we were invisible. not a good experience

Reservations at 4:30PM 24 Mar 24; seated right away, and drink order placed and received within 5 min. Warm bread brought out. We asked our server to come back for the food order in 15 min and he did. Appetizer arrived and before my wife could finish hers, her pasta dish was brought out. As we were at a small table, she had to hold her plate to finish eating her carpaccio. Tis was the only negative to the meal. We each had pasta dishes - fettuccini and Bolognese. DELICIOUS, but very large portions. We could have split one and had plenty. Could not take with us as we were going to a 7:30 concert. Tiramisu was very good as was the glass of Limoncello. Dinner, drinks, bottle of wine - under $160 for two and no tip was added to the bill, as we had read in a posted review. We left Sammy's at 6:10pm, plenty of time to walk to the Lyric. We would go again.

Server was quick with drinks and salad and then never to be seen again, other than talking with friends in serve area. MOST frustrating was the HOUR wait for food and need to ask another waiter for to-go box. We had symphony tickets and needed to go almost as soon as meal arrived. We did ask for check immediately, with the arrival of meal, which saved much needed time at departure. Food was fantastic, but extremely long wait for food- hummm. For a single person who needs to devote time on a laptop or phone, this would work.

Amazing food at very reasonable prices! I ordered the lasagna; my dinner companion ordered the risotto. Both were enormous and expertly prepared. Even though we were tucked into a small table by the kitchen, we were served promptly and attentively. A great spot for an excellent meal before an evening show or after a matinee. Five stars all around - highly recommend!!

Food is absolutely top notch and not overly pricey by post-pandemic standards. The service was a bit inattentive, though. Our waiter was stretched thin, yes, but also came across as a little disengaged. Maybe he's just a quiet guy, but we never got the glass of water we asked for twice. At least it was professional, no fake camaraderie. He actually boxed our leftovers for us, which I like. The place was pretty loud. Or there was a buzz to it. Depends on how you're inclined to view that sort of thing.

Wonderful experience at Sammy's from start to finished. From the hostess to the waitress and everyone we encounter in between treated my guest and I like we were family. The service was prompt without being overbearing. The food was delicious. I will definitely return when I'm in Baltimore.

Arrived at 6 PM for a dinner before an 8 PM BSO concert. Staff was very attentive to this need and was very efficient. Food was great, service excellent, and atmosphere was nice. We will return any time we visit the Meyerhof.

It was a show night so it was very busy. I had made reservations for 6:15 which I thought would give us plenty of time to eat and make it to the talk by 8. As it was we cut it close. We will definitely go again but I will make the reservation for earlier. As it was the appetizer didn't come out for almost an hour so the waiter didn't even charge us for that. What will bring us back is the food. Delicious.
