Food is good but today Lisa was very rude. I wanted to let it slide and not act like an angry customer causing commotion but I spend my money here and I don't appreciate the way she was talking to me. It started with me calling ask about French Toast and she was just very short and seemed to cut me off. It was something along the lines of "Hey, do you guys have french toast? I see it on your photos on your website" she says, " We don't have french toast, you need to read the menu"... Okay ma'am well I read it so clearly i'm thinking you may have left it off the menu because there are a few things I don't see on the menu such as the latte.... and that actually brings me to my second point. I ordered the latte and she ASKED me if I wanted a large and i stated yes. When i arrived to pick up my food i was rang up for a "regular" ... She said " no that's a regular, that's what you asked for but i'll just remake it." I said i would pay the difference. There was another employee there that was going to help me with paying the difference but Lisa told her don't worry about it and she would do it herself. After she makes the large, she was over to me and says, "I'll let it slide this time"... EXCUSE ME?! YOU ARE THE ONE WHO ASKED IF I WANTED A LARGE AND I SAID YES! I DIDN'T ASK FOR A REGULAR BECAUSE I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW YOU HAD A REGULAR BECAUSE THE DAY BEFORE I PURCHASED A LARGE AND THAT WAS MY FIRST TIME EVER ORDERING A LATTE FROM THERE! I didn't even know you had them and I asked the wonderful guy over the phone and he said yes you do so I ordered a large. How about next time, I don't let you slide for talking to me that way. I'm just confused about how I paid $5.25 for a regular which is pretty small and the large was abut $6. Whatever. But hopefully you have a better day going forward and change your tone of voice towards the employees and other customers.

So pleasant! Friendly :). My wife and I love walking from Homeland for breakfast. Sitting outside is the way to go on a nice day.

A hidden gem in a beautiful neighborhood. Friendly staff with a mission that inspires your attitude complimented by a quaint breakfast selection. Nutella and strawberry toast is a clear winner! Excellent coffees served in a cozy cup. A must try!

We were in a Nutella mood - and found just the thing at Sams. Nutella waffle and Nutella toast! A little hard to find, go around the corner from where directions take you- look for the awning. Friendly service and good coffee too.

Hidden gem a block away from JHU. Cozy clean place with good food and a nice ambiance. We enjoyed the avocado toast, breakfast wrap, and breakfast burrito. They were all very good.

Got a nice hot caramel latte, which was very foamy, but good. I ordered The Amsterdam with a sunny side up egg and sausage. It came with a delicious potato hash which was well seasoned, and toast. They also had a nice green spicy sauce, which I particularly enjoyed because spicy is a must for me! However, my eggs were not cooked well. There was still raw egg whites, which is definitely not how a sunny side up egg should be. Nonetheless, Sam's Cafe is a good breakfast spot if you are looking for a chill vibe to sit down and study or read a book.

Super cozy spot with outdoor seating! The service is great and the staff is friendly plus the mission to employ persons on the autism spectrum is admirable. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the menu is limited if you are looking for gluten free and vegan options. If you have no food restrictions, then I highly recommend!
