Food had no flavor chicken was hard and dry for everything... the teriyaki, orange and fried chicken. The yatgaw mein they used like fettuccine noodles no onions no sauce....I will never go back here again....waste of money 🤮

My wife got the pepper steak and it was not edible. She said it did not taste like beef at all (not going to say what she said it tasted like) and it was mostly chopped peppers. I wasted $13 for her platter. I had the sweet and sour chicken and the sauce (on the side) was cold, straight from the refrigerator. I also ordered the 5 piece jumbo fried strip. I'm from Detroit and the way the Chinese restaurants prepare jumbo fried shrimp it's like a jumbo ring, batter dipped and delicious. Sunny's was simply a breaded fried shrimp, possibly from a bag of frozen breaded shrimp. Not impressive for $6. Also, they prefer cash.

The first time I came to this location I met a very nice respectful young man. I ordered wings and fries with bbq sauce. He was very sweet gave me no problems. The 2 next times I came to this location I dealt with a very nasty attitude older woman she up charged me for things that wasn’t up charged before and when I tried speaking with her she waved me off. She was extremely rude and gives me a hard time everytime I come here. This will be the last time

I m a Chinese but this is no way near Chinese food taste. Wonton soup is the worst I have taste as pork has a funny smell. Ordered noodles but does not taste good. Fried rice is ok.

This place never disappoints! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients. The service is top-notch—fast, friendly, and efficient. Whether I'm in a rush or looking for a healthy, satisfying meal, this is my go-to spot. Five years of dining here, and it's still just as amazing as day one!

I just moved to the neighborhood and wanted to try a local spot for a good Chinese takeout. I was so hungry after work last night and I didn't feel like cooking, so I gave it a shot. Sunny didn't disappoint!

I ordered a side of crab Rangoon, a small chicken lo mein, and the General Tso's combination platter (which came with fried rice and an egg roll). Everything was reasonably priced and tasted delicious. The rangoons were crispy, a little sweet and savory, piping hot, and six came in an order, which was perfect. The lo mein was deliciously savory; it was hard to not eat the whole portion. Finally, the chicken in the General Tsos' combo was crispy, sweet, and spicy; the fried rice was amazing, and the egg roll was really good. Also, I also only spent about $20, and there was enough food for two meals.

I will definitely be going back to Sunny to try other things and I'm so happy that there's a great spot near me. Oh, also, the woman who was working the counter was very friendly and she welcomed me to the neighborhood with a big smile. Thank you!

I brought shrimp egg foo young last night, and I couldn’t eat it because the shrimp was Spoiled. This is the second time that I had a bad experience with Sunny’s carry out. I won’t be eating there again.

Horrible place.
I absolutely do not recommend to attend that place. Small portions and high prices. And they charge 1 bux more if you pay credit card?

Upset with the quality of the food. The sauce was tangy and it was throwing the whole meal off. Also, it just doesn’t taste as good as it used to be so these reviews, especially the most recent ones, are probably accurate. The prices also went up which is understandable, but at least you can maintain the quality that was originally found when the food was cheaper.

China garden might be the best Chinese food place in pigtown, which is down the steeet at mount claire center. Sucks because this used to be a great food spot.

I have been a patron of Sunny’s for over 10 years. I ordered a six piece fried hard with fried rice. It came in their lunch to go box and the chicken wings are noticeably smaller than before while they hiked up the price like three dollars. I won’t be back. You played in my face. This is highway robbery. Never again. I essentially paid 14 bucks for a lunch size meal. Disgusting. That’s not cool
