best ice cream in baltimore! great selection of chocolate-y and fruity flavors, as well as milkshakes, toppings, and sundaes. they have classic flavors year round as well as some seasonal and unique flavors that rotate occasionally. their waffle cones are so delicious and made in house. my go to order is a scoop of maryland mud in a waffle cone with rainbow sprinkles. you can’t go wrong at the charmery.

Every year, we come to the Hamden Christmas festivities and the number one thing we look forward to is the Charmery real chocolate and marshmallow hot chocolate. This year the chocolate is watery and obviously some store bought disappointment. Bring back the REAL melted chocolate formula.

Been coming to the charmery for years, the BEST ice cream shop in baltimore. Love all the constant new flavors and themes. Parking can be a bit tricky but plenty of parking available. Very upsetting that they’re getting rid of their punch cards for rewards.

We recently visited The Charmery, and while it’s a charming spot with a fun atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff, the ice cream just wasn’t for me. I found the waffle cone a bit too thick for my taste, and the flavor options didn’t quite hit the mark for my palate.
That said, the team working there was warm and welcoming, and the overall vibe of the place is really nice. It’s clear they put love into what they do, and I can see why others might enjoy it. This might be one of those places where you have to acquire the taste—so I’d still say give it a try for yourself. You might just find your new favorite scoop.
