I travel a lot. I drink a lot of places in a lot of various cities from the West Coast, to the Midwest, to, well, this place! I'm enthusiastic about cocktails, and interesting flavors. I'm very amiably confused by the fact that the best cocktails I've had in the past five to ten years came from an underground bar off an alleyway in Baltimore. Cheers, folks. It was a damn good time in a damn good space with some damn fine drinks.

Tatim and Josie were the best bartenders I’ve ever had. They were my bar angels and picked the perfect drink for my personality. They suggested the “Estate Martini”. It was exactly what I needed! Will be back so soon!

I’m usually not a fan of cocktails but these were amazing. The bartenders were so nice and made us feel welcomed. It’s a great spot and hidden gem.

Nestled within the charm of Hotel Ulysses, by the owners of WC Harlan, Coral Wig emerges as a beacon of sophistication and allure. From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a realm of exquisite ambiance, where darkness intertwines with intimacy, creating an atmosphere steeped in class and allure. The service at Coral Wig is nothing short of exceptional, with staff members who epitomize professionalism and attentiveness. Their dedication to ensuring a seamless experience adds an extra layer of luxury to the evening. But it's the drinks that truly steal the show. Crafted with precision and creativity, each libation is a masterpiece in its own right. From classic concoctions to innovative blends, the menu caters to every palate, leaving you spoiled for choice.Yet, what truly sets Coral Wig apart is its ability to evoke romance effortlessly. Whether you're sharing a quiet moment with a loved one or indulging in solitary reflection, the romantic vibes are palpable, adding an extra layer of magic to the experience. In conclusion, Coral Wig is more than just a speakeasy; it's a sanctuary for those seeking elegance, charm, and an unforgettable evening. Whether you're a seasoned cocktail enthusiast or simply looking for a place to escape the ordinary, Coral Wig promises an experience like no other.

The most exceptional experience can be had at non other than the exclusive Coral Wig.Josie and Tatum are the pinnacle in bartending excellence, true masters of the craft with a selection of Rum cocktails handpicked for their aromas notes and body .An ambiance of Nina Simone and candle light , cinnamon and cardamom. Makes this speakeasy the coziest of corners. My last night in I had the privilege of catching a local savant setting up a miniature campfire roasting marshmallows and offering a lucky few passers by an authentic “s’mores “ treat. What a magical night in Baltimore.

Another hit from the Clavel, W.C. Harlan, and Fadensonnen group - The Coral Wig.Baltimore has become a cocktail city but when it comes to ambiance, innovation, and creativity, The Coral Wig takes the cake. The menu flows with the decor and the music is perfect for first dates, solo dates and group after work hangs. The space is a little tight but grab a seat at the bar and enjoy the technique on display by the friendly cast of mixologists on deck. The spot is busy but never too busy to catch up with the folks while they make your cocktails.I love the concept and feel of the space - looking forward to warmer nights in the city. Such a gem. I don’t want to tell my friends!

New favorite for me. The Coral Wig is situated in the bottom of the hotel Ulysses, off of Reed Street in Mount Vernon. Although the concept is not deemed tiki, the decor, the music, and atmosphere overall gives an elevated tiki bar with a hint of speakeasy without the fluff, the drinks are well crafted, the staff is knowledgeable and attentive even at times when the bar is swamped. The space holds about 35 to 40 folks but if you're familiar with Clavel, W.C. Harlan, you'll know what type of experience to expect from the group that has brought you those amazing gems. Although the bar can get packed at times, typically turnover is quick. I'm sure if they sold food or offered little bites in the space people would never leave and that just says a lot about the location.

A deep, dark and fun speakeasy experience in Mt Vernon! We were lucky to arrive before the "big" crowd and snag the entire banquet in the back (we were about 15 people). The vibe is cool/tiki and the drinks are all vaguely tropical. The staff are hardworking and still friendly. The drinks seem to all be crowd-pleasers tho perhaps they could be stronger. Conversation was easy since the music did not overpower. I enjoyed a few different drinks including the Banana Hammock, Pink Snapper, and Flamboyán. I hope to make it back to Coral Wig again soon.

We came here after finding out this was a sister bar to WC Harlan, which we recently discovered and thought it was one of the coolest bars in Baltimore. The ambience of WC Harlan was amazing and it's almost a speakeasy with the intimate setting only lit by candle light and random unmarked door that leads into the bar. So we were excited to see what The Coral Wig has to offer. The setting isn't entirely lit by candles, but it is a dark setting and hard to read the menu (which I don't mind because I love dark settings). We were easily able to find an open table (it was around 9pm probably when we got there), but it quickly started getting more busy. The drinks they make are Asian-inspired and the bar smelled like incense when we walked in. I believe they were playing Thai music which was really cool. They played a variety of music, it wasn't all Thai (or Asian foreign language), but was all Asian-inspired music. I still like WC Harlan better if I had to choose one, but this was a nice bar. Not sure where else you would go in the area, it's a little sketch (at least it was for us), but it's a cool place to try out.
