Excellent vibes for a speak easy style bar. Was there for drinks on Valentine's day.
The servers who checked on us were awesome, and handled the large crowd well.

I had one of the best dirty martinis I've ever had here. My partner had their mind blown by a full service absinthe. Knowledgeable staff (pulled off a Brooklyn pretty well).

Hats off to Bang and James!

An excellent place to relax and try some top-tier, experimental cocktails. The bartender Gabriel was attentive, personable, and accommodating, and we had a lovely time because of it. Highly recommended!

The Elk Room is a true speakeasy — discreetly tucked away, preserving that sense of mystery and magic that makes it so special. The atmosphere is dark, intimate, and effortlessly sophisticated with just the right touch of rustic charm.

Their cocktail menu is exceptional, offering both creativity and balance, and there’s a great variety of small plates and entrées to pair with your drink of choice. I was torn between ordering the Passion Pitt cocktail or the Eternal Sunshine — both sounded incredible — but I went with the Passion Pitt, and it was absolutely splendid. Beautifully balanced, refreshing, and crafted with care.

The staff truly set the tone — attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was greeted the moment I walked in and had my drink order taken within minutes of sitting down. Service like that makes a lasting impression.

We stopped in just for drinks this time, but I’m already planning to return for a full meal to enjoy the complete experience. The Elk Room is the perfect spot for anyone who appreciates craft cocktails, refined ambiance, and top-notch service. Highly recommend.

Just now I went to Elk room not more than 5 minutes ago (approx. 1235am). In town for a business conference and went to get a drink with a friend before I head out in the morning. I was just told there is a WAITING LIST FOR A TABLE. When my friend asked if they were doing take out she said the kitchen was closed. I immediately asked, “ the kitchen is closed…..but there is a wait list to get it…….for drinks only?” She immediately realized how ridiculously incredible it sounded when I put it together but stuck with it nonetheless. Then she ceremoniously offered to put us on the waiting list. I told my friend who is a local I wanted to leave.

Whoever owns this place should be ashamed. Or maybe this is how they want their potential guests to be handled. Either way, I will never come back and I’m sure my friend won’t either.

Our bartender was so wonderful. We enjoyed our cocktails. This space was very warm and nicely appointed. We sat at the bar and ordered a few drinks, Passion Pit, Fools Gold and Splitzville, that were all perfectly made and delicious.

Waited for 20 minutes just to watch half of Baltimore go in before us and then be told it would be much longer than we had been advised.

Says they are open until 2am and you go at midnight and there’s a 45 minute wait waitlist because 20 people are in the space and there is “one server and one bartender and they’re so sorry”

HORRIBLE hospitality and customer service.
