The first time I went to the owl bar, I had a reservation and had a really good time, the table was by the bar and the wait staff were very friendly and the food was good. The SECOND time, I also had a reservation, and was told when I got there that we would have to wait about a half hour, even with having a reservation, so we waited, and upon being seated, we were seated in a small cut-away from the bar area, I asked that we be moved to a table in the bar area, but they said we were only two people and all the tables were for 4 people. The area we were seated was like a hallway with tables in it, or at least not visually from the main area, and we were literally by ourselves, and couldn't see anything but the small area we were in. That kind of ruined the atmosphere we came for, but we sat down. After being seated, they must have forgot we were even back there, because we waited about another 40 minutes without a single waitress even bringing us water or drinks. So we left. We also took an uber there so we had to order another uber to take us to another restaurant. This is a shame because we had a really good time the first time, but our second visit ruined that to the point that I will not return.

Do better.

It had been 40 years since we were at the Owl Bar. So excited to go back and reminice about old times. We went for drinks and we were so disappointed. The drinks were awful...how do you mess up malibu rum/ pineapple and a crown royal/sprite? Others in our group got a shot or beer. Definitely not the Owl Bar we were used to. Hope they were having an off day.

Food was tasty, Burger, pasta, Chicken sandwich were all good but what really stood out was the pizza. They had a full brick oven and we had been seated close so we were able to watch them make the pizza and it was delicious! The cocktails were good and properly made. They seemed slightly understaffed so one waitress seemed to be taking care the majority of the room. She was great when attending us.

A beautiful and historic bar held back by filth, screens, and subpar food.

What a wonderful brunch and it was a last minute decision to come! Food was awesome! Can’t wait to go again.

Wasn't impressed with the food. Two people with me got hamburgers and they were both dry and not good but edible.
I got steak tacos (which they forgot to make and I had to wait while everyone else had their food). First bite was mostly gristle. They did not trim the fat very well at all. They tasted ok but too much fat.
For being 2025, the beer selection was pretty dim. I see no reason to return here.

Amazing bar with lots of history!

Highly recommend a late night with friends at this bar. Good beer. Hidden inside a hotel, lovely decor.

Such a charming date spot. Definitely a recommendation to take your significant other for an atmospheric adventure downtown. Hit the Walter's Art gallery before or after to complete your cultural tour of Baltimore.

When we walked into the entrance to the Owl Bar, the hostess was standing in the hallway taking a phone call. We had to wait until she was off her phone to be assisted. Once sat, we had 3 different waiters/waitresses. And then….2 bites into our entrees, a 4th employee came up to our table asking “how the food is”, and then proceeded to say “can I move you both to another table?” with no further explanation. We said absolutely not, and we will never come back to this establishment . Never in our lives have we been asked to move tables midst our meal. He wasn’t even one of our (3) waiters.
