Excellent customer service. Waiter was very attentive. Atmosphere was intimate. Perfect way to celebrate a loved one's birthday.
Truly, one of the finest steak restaurants in Baltimore if not the country. The service is impeccable. If you love the old school vibe, you'll absolutely love the prime rib.
This use to be my favorite restaurant. My wife and I took my mother amd sister out for a birthday celebration. The food was ok at best. I had to return my medium rare steak ($130) as it was medium well except for the center. The sides were good. Definitely not worth the almost $1k including tip. I need to find a new favorite after two barely average visits. Really went down hill.
Beautiful ambience, superior service, live band first rate! The food is always great but the lobster not as delicious as in times past- a B rather than an A. I think the bread could be better and salad a bit more generous regarding the ingredients but over all a wonderful experience- our favorite restaurant in Baltimore!
This is a unique restaurant, great menu. It will be your "Go to" restaurant if you have never been.
We came from out of town to eat before a show. We were immediately met with a dated ambiance in the dining room. The food was not good. Extremely overpriced for food we didn't want to eat. They also charged a “sharing fee” for two people I was with that shared their two entrees which was the servers suggestion so they both could have a little of each others. The server also did not disclose that upon accepting that suggestion there would be a fee. I've never seen a restaurant charge a sharing fee when every member of the table bought an entree. I asked the server and he said that is what they do. They did take one of the entrees off the bill after the member of the table complained. It was a real miss for us and expensive one at that. I'd recommend going anywhere else.
As usual the Prime Rib delivers on quality of food and service. We had Aaron last night who has been at the PR for over 50 years. His attention and service was superb. The food always stepped it up a notch last night when I ordered rack of lamb. The lamb was done perfectly at medium rare and was sublime. We've made it a tradition to go to the PR on birthdays, and it's an event to which I always look forward!
I thought that for $73.00 the cut of prime rib was a bit Tough. Tasted great but I should have been able to cut it with a fork. Had to saw my way through and was tough to chew.
The Prime Rib is consistently an exceptional dining experience. Over the years we have never been disappointed!
Baltimore's steakhouse gem. Amazing food in the coolest, art deco space with truly special service. Love this place.

I took my wife here for her 41st birthday. The ambience and service is OUTSTANDING. The lobster bisque DELICIOUS. The old fashioned TO DIE FOR. Now to the disappointing part... My wife ordered a medium well Filet Mignon, it was misheard for a well done(the steak was a hockey puck). We are human and ALL make mistakes. When the steak was brought out the second time, very expeditiously I will say, it was well done(if that's what you like, but no pink in sight). We did not complain again but made a decision that we would not be back. Maybe the chef was overwhelmed or just having a BAD day. My issue is that for the price this should be nonexistent. But none the less we had a great celebration, the brought out the most delicious key lime pie for her celebration. Go and experience it.
Have not been in awhile and this experience was the best. Our server guided us on what to order. The food did not disappoint. His recommendations were perfect. We were not rushed and had a wonderful evening. Portion size good, food very hot and very delicious.
My wife and I had a great meal starting from ordering our drinks, enjoying the potato skins and especially her NY strip cooked exactly as ordered as well as my Prime Rib. If you've ever gone to a buffet that had prime rib you may be hesitant like I was to try it here, don't this isn't even in the same universe as those over cooked cheap cuts. Every bite was tender and beefy. The ambiance of the Prime Rib is very old school steakhouse and may not fit some peoples vibe, but that's ok because the live jazz, food, and drinks were exactly the right vibe for us. The biggest highlight was the attentive service without being overbearing and their knowledge of the product. Would definitely visit again.
I have to come to The Prime Rib when I visit Baltimore. I am a frequent traveler and in my opinion, this is the best restaurant I know. The service is cordial and the food quality is exceptional. I wish The Prime Rib all the best, as it is one of a few that continues to provide an exceptional experience with each visit.
The Prime Rib remains the top steakhouse in Baltimore. It offers efficiency, excellence and thoughtful ambience. Fully professional throughout.
