We had three great meals at Trye Chesapeake in the space of a couple weeks—dinner for 8, dinner for two and brunch for four—and they were all fantastic! Oysters raw, fried, Rockefeller, crab and fish and the Mac and cheese and so much more! The service was terrific no matter the size of our group, and we sat outside by the water on one occasion. All good as always! Oh, and try the cocktail: The lemon stick—perfection!!!!

We sat outside for an early dinner on an incredible summer afternoon. Our server Zee was amazing - timely without us feeling rushed. Believe it or not, none of us are into oysters - but there was plenty of other delicious things on the menu to keep us happy. Definitely recommend! Will definitely return!

The roasted oysters were very good as a starter and the rest of the dinner did not disappoint. Recommend

Delicate and refined cocktails. Massive selection of off-season oysters. Never have complaints about this place.

As before, the oysters and other foods were mostly delicious (only the mashed potatoes were uninteresting). The server was well informed and pleasant, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The food did take a long time to arrive, considering the restaurant was not full.

True Chesapeake Oyster is one of my favorite local restaurants. Food offerings, although somewhat limited, are always top notch.

Elisa was an amazing hostess and admitted us very late and we had an incredible time on our first evening in Baltimore

Super experience, happy hour through dinner. Great personable service; informative and friendly. Oysters were fresh, drinks delivered as ordered. There was a lively crowd without a deafening or distracting noise level - we could have a conversation without yelling. Dinner was outstanding. With the server's strong recommendation, I had the snakehead which was a blow away. The bit of stock ladled over the meaty fillet was one of the more flavorful accompaniments I've ever had. The burgers are another reason to go back again soon. Great presentation, awesome char grilled flavor. This is the kind of go to place we've been looking for.

The service was outstanding and the food was superb. Will surely visit the restaurant again and tell friends about our experience.

We were fortunate to dine during restaurant week. The field greens salad was outstanding (who ever says that?), the sweet corn cavatelli was amazing, the red wine braised beef was divine, the orange sorbet was delicious and the strawberry rhubarb tart (a substitute for whoopie pie) was wonderful. We wanted to try the peanut butter and chocolate pot de crème, but they were out. Wait staff were hustling but we waited a very long time for our appetizers and another while for dessert. My (hot) tart arrived long before my husband's sorbet and although I delayed to wait, I gave up to eat while it was still warm. My husband also found the wait for tea refills much too long. The value was excellent and I would definitely return.

Very disappointing first (and only) experience. Perhaps this is the place if the true Chesapeake only had oysters. Unfortunately I know there are farms that also grow cattle. 3 red meat items on the menu and 1 is raw... of the two cooked I chose the strip steak. It was ordered as medium... it was presented as rare/medium rare. Sent it back while my wife ate her beet salad and mushroom tart ( which was over powered by cumin... not mushroom). I then presented with the same recooked piece of mean over 10 minutes later that was STILL not medium and a very sinewy piece of meat. My wife ate alone first and then I didn't eat my full meal as it was sent back a second time. Fortunately, I ordered a crab cake to accompany my steak... it turn out to be my meal. The taste of the crab cake was good although it had a good many shell pieces included. If you ONLY have 3 red meat choices on your limited cooked menu I would hope that you could present a properly cooked piece of quality meat (it wasn't) for $43 dollars. The kitchen seemed to care less and no manager was offered to speak with. In addition, to add insult to injury we were billed for a "kitchen service charge" of 2.5%. Why? the kitchen failed to deliver acceptable food. I can not recommend this restaurant for anything other than perhaps Oyster which are generally not cooked. If you want cooked food my experience is ... just don't.

We had a great time here with friends for a Saturday early happy hour. The happy hour menu is a steal! The oysters were fantastic and the cocktails were amazing. I would totally go for happy hour again. I do love their dinner menu however the portion is slightly on the less side. You have to order a bunch which makes the bill kinda high, also on top of that they automatically charge 20% plus the kitchen fee 2%. The food quality was no doubt tho. Everything we ordered was fantastic, the balance of flavor and richness was just spot on. I enjoyed everything very much! They serve beer bread as well, which was also my favorite kind of bread. Overall it was such a great restaurant. I highly recommend it for special occasions due to the portion and the price, or just simply go for happy hour only.

This seems a little out of place with where it's located but it's a nice place. It seems like it's part of a gentrification process. It's in an old repurposed mill and the inside is very well done. The parking is a little strange but I think that was because there was an event going on near by. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was upbeat and business casual I suppose?

All the oysters we tried were good from the raw to roasted. Steak tartare was a little chunky but not bad. Blue crab and marrow dip was delicious. Service was great but the atmosphere became loud. Restaurant tipped themselves even though we only had 4 people in our party and the kitchen also took a 2%. No one informed us of that. I would prefer to tip ourselves instead of force tipping.
