We stopped here for dessert that we enjoyed on a bench in the park. The tiramisu and chocolate chip ice-cream were delicious.
I love the cannolis here!!!!!!!
Nice people. Location convenient (even if parking isn't). Space is nice and comfortable. However, the pastries/cookies tasted stale or old. Definitely not fresh. For the price, that was disappointing. Won't be returning.
I’m from San Francisco. We have North Beach, an Italian American enclave where decent Italian bakeries abound. Regardless whenever I come to B-more to visit my daughter, l must come for Vaccaro’s Italian cookies. Never been disappointed!
Service, friendly nor necessarily effusive, that’s fine w me. Atmosphere, bare bones, no frills, good enough. Go for the cookies!
Hours are incorrect. Says till 9pm, door says 8pm.
I enjoy stopping by for pastries, coffee and talking with the staff. Nice people
We ordered a cappuccino and a mocha drink, with panini sandwiches, and we were impressed by the quality of drinks and food. The paninis were surprisingly large at a modest price. The staff provided excellent customer service and the atmosphere is cozy. A must stop if you are in Canton Square.
A great little dessert place to enjoy homemade authentic Italian pastries, cakes, cookies and Gelato. Famous around the world.
A staple in Baltimore, pignoli cookies, gelato, and cannolis are the star. Don’t skip the cappucino.
So many Italian treats. Delicious!!

I bought a quarter pound of
Vaccaro's cookies today, because I haven't had any in years. Boy, have they changed... They are small, thin, dry little crusty pieces of sadness! Whatever corners you are cutting, please go back to making your signature shortbread cookies like you used to years ago! These are absolutely terrible and I wouldn't pay the price for them ever again!

I had high hopes because everything looked good, however the pastries and the paninis were not good. I was not expecting it to be the quality you would find in Italy but i did expect it to at least be pleasant or somewhat enjoyable, and it definitely was not. I did however not try the ice cream so maybe the reason they are still in business is the ice cream. The service was fine and it had a really nice atmosphere which made the food all the more disappointing.

Great service, cookies were good. Gelato was sadly a bit too ice-creamy in texture and flavor. The lemon ice did not have the right pop to it.

I have been sick for a few days with diarrhea, stomach pain and swelling, intermittent fever, nausea, and headache since eating gelato at Vaccaro’s.
Every gelato flavor I tried had med-sized ice crystals pebbled throughout, so likely it’s going through many freeze-thaw cycles and no longer resembles gelato. You can see the pebbles through the display glass, so you don’t have to buy it to know. I don’t know how old the gelato I ate was because the cashier was visibly emptying the remaining gelato from one container onto the top of a new container of gelato, doing this for a number of flavors.
I wouldn’t go here for gelato but their pastries are good, good portions and taste.
