After breaking down on a trip from New York back home to Virginia, we had been sitting there for 4 hrs with 42 teenagers who had not eaten since breakfast. No other place would deliver because they felt it was too dangerous but Zorba’s did!! The driver was amazing and brought us food, napkins and plates. We found this place completely by accident.

We had driven to Perryville to pick up an online Ikea order from the nearby warehouse, and needed somewhere to eat while we were in the area.

I was not expecting anything special.

Then the food came out.

My wife suggested ordering the meatballs as an appetizer, and I am so glad she did.

They were clearly homemade.

Tender. Flavorful. Fall-apart good.

And the sauce was excellent.

Not bland… Not watery.

Not “generic pizza place red sauce.”

It tasted like someone's grandma was cooking in the back and actually cared.

Then came the pizza, which was just as impressive.

The crust was thin, crisp, and beautifully done.

The kind of crust that actually snaps a little when you fold it.

That is my kind of pizza. Just like in New York City.

What made the whole thing even better was how unexpected it was.

We were not on some carefully planned food trip.

We were not going out of our way because someone told us this place was famous.

We just happened to stop in because we were nearby.

And somehow we ended up having one of those meals you keep thinking about long after the fact.

It has been almost a year since we were there, and I still remember how good those meatballs and that pizza were.

That says everything.

Definitely worth stopping in if you are in the area.

Honestly, based on our experience, it is worth the drive.

“I ordered for delivery the enormous 28" pizza as a surprise for my husband's 40th birthday party yesterday and asked if they could arrange the pepperonis in a 4 and 0 and they went above and beyond, spelling out "Happy 40." It was a huge hit and tasted really good. We also ordered the crab dip which was exceptional. Highly recommend!! We'll be ordering from here in the future for sure! HUGE thanks to the staff!“

Several of his employees have also been there for as long as we’ve been going. When I heard the prices I was expecting not so good pizza and I was completely mistaken. The pizza toppings were huge and NOT greasy at all.
