This is a very cozy, small restaurant only two blocks away from Bethesda Row. It is a family-run business and the couple there are very nice. Though some might think the portions are too small, they were fine and the food seemed very authentic and was delicious. Absolutely recommend eating here and supporting this family-run restaurant.
Very cute inside, food and service was great. Menu has lots of authentic options. Portion sizes are a bit small, maybe anticipate ordering extra. Bathroom in the back is small but clean.
After living in Japan for two years, Aji-Nippon is one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants I have been to in DMV. They’re a family owned business in a great area. Their flavors and ingredients are true to what you would find in Japan, with rich soups, flame grilled yakitori, warm rice, fresh sashimi, savory meats, and memorable sauces that take me back to being in Japan.
