Bethesda Bagels is my go-to bagel place in the DC area. I go to this location most often, but I have been to all of the locations and the quality is consistent. I order a melted mozzarella on an everything bagel, it’s an open face bagel with pesto, tomato, and mozzarella. It’s insanely good, I highly recommend it. A simple bagel with cream cheese is always a good option too- the jalapeño cheddar is great. It doesn’t matter what time of day it is, this place is jumping so I suggest placing an online order ahead and picking it up. I’ve also had the coffee, and donuts, they have a variety of other selections too. Overall a solid bagel shop.

This is the closest I’ve seen to a NY bagel joint. The problem is that it gets super crowded on the weekends.Bagels are nice and puffy (maybe just a bit too puffy) with a good chew. Sandwiches can be excessively big so just be aware when ordering a BEC.
