I had an iced americano when I was briefly stopped in Bethesda on a longer road trip. I've been daydreaming about that drink ever since.

Great vibes, great service, incredible coffee.

Delicious food, had a very yummy bagel with tons of toppings. Cro’gels were so funny and yummy as well. Great lattes, and we got to try the peppermint hot cocoa! Atmosphere was so cozy and warm, service was great we even got some free apples from the kind server.

Love this little quaint shop. Best coffee in the area...HANDS DOWN!!! Paris Baguette is right around the corner and Starbucks is like 3 or so blocks around the corner but this place has hand made espresso with an actual espresso machine, not that computerized stuff at Starbucks. The barrista makes awesome coffee. I got my wife a latte, I got a mocha with a double shot and we also got a caramel machiato. All professionally made and delicious made with what seems a mild or medium roast...I prefer it to Starducks dark roast which is always kind of bitter and I end up adding like 8 packs of brown sugar to my mocha double shot. Highly recommend!!!

This is a coffee shop that plays music and has hightop window seating and tables with seats. The sound system looks reto, laid back cool vibe. The coffee is a little weak, but the food was excellent. The bagel breakfast sandwhich was outstanding. Service was friendly and pretty quick for an upscale gormet shop.

Best pastries in the area, easily beats out franchises like Paris baguette. Some of the nicest employees I’ve met in the area

Though I'd been here in the past, today was the first day I ordered online for pickup and randomly chose Seamless from the options listed on Google maps. Unfortunately, this cafe is not actually partnered with Seamless and is listed on the site without their permission. I cannot believe Grubhub (owner of Seamless) is continuing this practice even after settling a lawsuit over this exact issue earlier this year.

Just posting a review because I really appreciate how patient both of the gentlemen working were with me--they even went so far as to call the owner to discuss the issue. I appreciate the service I recieved, even though I technically wasn't even a paying customer from their perspective (again, through no fault of French Press!). So shout out to both of the gentlemen working this afternoon for handling the situation kindly and with patience.

I made my first ever Better Business Bureau report against Seamless today with the request that they remove French Press and any other restaurants that have not given permission to be listed on the site. And moving forward, I'll definitely be avoiding Grubhub/Seamless. What a world we live in these days.

My food and atmosphere ratings reflect my experience from previous visits.

French Press Coffee Shop is truly a hidden gem! The coffee here is absolutely amazing especially the Cardamom Shaken Espresso, which is unlike anything I’ve tried before. It’s perfectly balanced, smooth, and packed with flavor a must try for any coffee lover.

What really makes this place stand out, though, is the people. The owner and staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, making every visit such a great experience. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they do.

The coffee I ordered was extremely hot 🥵,
You can burn your tongue and have to let it cool for 15 minutes,
not a comfortable place to sit .
Prices like everything else is high .
