Always on my list when I come to NIH for appts.

Every time I try to order ahead I waste half my lunch break waiting on them to make the food because of computer issues. I guess only call your order in?

This Chinese joint is actually pretty decent. I have no complaints about it. It gets 4 stars for food and 5 for service, but only a 1 for atmosphere, simply because it just doesn't have any. It's not meant to. It's strictly a takeout Chinese joint, and they do an excellent job.

The only reason it gets a 4 for food, is because it's not the best Chinese takeout, but it is still very, very good. It's definitely worth it.

I don't think its intention is to be the best, but rather good eats for a decent price, with quick service. I mean, they are so fast, that the food is practically ready before you're even done paying for it. Which of course, isn't the case, but you get the idea.

At any rate, this place is worth a try if you haven't been here before.

I honestly can’t tell if people are being blackmailed into writing one-star reviews for this restaurant or if their experiences were just that bad, but I completely disagree with the low ratings! While Golden House Chinese Restaurant doesn’t offer indoor seating, they more than make up for it with their incredible food. I’ve been coming here for a long time, and it’s about time I left an honest review.

The food here is simply AMAZING. I’ve ordered the orange chicken and sesame chicken several times, and every single time, I’ve been blown away by the flavor and quality. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable.

If you’re looking for a quick bite that doesn’t compromise on taste, I highly recommend Golden House Chinese Restaurant. It’s easily one of my favorite spots to grab delicious Chinese food.

Quick note: I ordered my orange chicken with no broccoli. :)

got the chicken beef shrimp mei fun a vegetable roll and a small powerade it was $22 and the food has absolutely 0 flavor. workers rush u to order and the whole place is outdated and smells bad. thankfully i was able to eat it after dousing it in soy sauce and duck sauce. don’t waste your money

It smelled horrible as soon as you open the door I have no idea what that smell was, but it was disgusting! I ordered one dish and that was the combination lo mein and it too was nasty! $16 and some change I will never get back.🤮

The spot is small, no seating, not that near, but it’s made for takeout. Although
I have no business eating this junk food it tastes pretty good. Customer service is good, workers are friendly. Speedy service. Portions are good for the price.

Recommended dishes: Fried Rice

It’s a carry out place but the food was so much better quality than expected! One star off because spring roll was more dough than veggies, but I asked for extra vegetables and they did it. Ordered a fried beef dish and the quantity/value was excellent. Many places skimp on this dish and give you mostly fried dough with a little beef, this was the opposite which means they mean business. I’ll definitely order from here again as an option. Also the goto packaging was great and thoughtful.

RUDE customer service. Rude women was taking my order. They should speak to people in a respectful way. This is America. Not China. Bad food . Hygiene was terrible. People are doing prep work at front . One person touching her face/ hair and touching food and doing the prep work. I wish I recorded them and send the video to the MC heath inspectors.
Paid over $60 for 4 orders and trash my order immediately. My co-workers told me that the chicken/meat was really hard to chew and felt like eating rubber. I don’t know weather it’s real chicken or fake .

Please stay away from this place . I stop eating Chinese food now. All the restaurants around here has the same issues.
