House of Milae has really good authentic Korean food. Their Korean bbq short ribs and the sea food pancake are the best. Price is reasonable and service is good.

I ordered delivery through their preferred app. I received no email or text with an estimated delivery time. When I tried to call the restaurant after an hour of waiting, nobody answered the phone. When I finally got my food, it was cold, and I received no rice and broccoli with my Bulgogi in which it specifically says you get steamed rice and broccoli with the meal. When I called the restaurant to complain, they only offered half off the Kimbap ($9) rather than the Bulgogi ($23). Maybe the food is good at the restaurant, but DEFINITELY avoid ordering delivery from this restaurant.

Food was really good and our server was extremely friendly and attentive. We ordered the kimchee fried rice, soondobue (tofu), and the bibimbap as our main and they were all delicious. We also loved the Jun, Korean pancake, which was extra crispy!

I don't say this lightly bit THIS PLACE NEEDS TO CLOSE.
What a disgrace. Don't let the rating fool you. My family of five went there for dinner. Food tasted like it was cooked by a bachelor that doesn't know how to cook. They seem to think all you have to do is use gochujang and you will have good korean food. SOON DUBU was completely tasteless, no umami whatsoever. No exaggeration but fried mixed squid and kimchi dubu were the worst I ever had. All you taste is gochujang. KIMCHI DUBU has barely any kimchi, mostly onion, which is cheap way of making it.

Spot - cozy. Wait staff - awesome and attentive. Manager - one of the best people I've met in my career. Kitchen - absolutely on point. This is hands down one of the last few old gems of downtown Bethesda and there aren't many left!
Delicious food and friendly staff :)
House of Milae is a local gem serving quality authentic Korean cuisine. Working my way through their menu, I’ve found every dish to be well-seasoned and comforting. I regularly order beef gimbap, which always hits the spot. The kimchi fried rice is brilliant. The kimchi jigae and tteokguk stews are perfect as hearty meals on cold nights. For an absolute treat, order some beef galbi or pork belly which are served on a cast iron hot plate. Bring a friend or two, grab a booth, and pair your meal with a bottle of soju or a bowl of makgeolli. Last but not least, the owner is exceptionally friendly - his genuineness and sense of humor complete the experience. Highly recommended: please come out to support this local business, serving some of the best food in the neighborhood.
House of Milae gave the jaeyuk Bodum I was craving.
Food was amazing. Service was fast and the food was fresh. Atmosphere was comfortable. GREAT neighborhood restaurant. Definitely will come back.
