Jean’s Deli is the kind of place I’d frequent almost daily if I worked in the area. For its modest size, the restaurant boasts an extensive menu of hearty fare (hot/cold sandwiches, burgers, breakfast items), as well as fresh salads, a fruit bar, and other lighter options. Everything we’ve tried is seasoned just right with generous portions, and the produce they use is unfailingly fresh. The deli’s been run by the same owners for the past 35 years, a couple with the kindest demeanor who put meticulous care into everything they make and serve. If you work nearby or are simply passing through, bookmark this spot and give it a visit.

I’ve worked across from Jean’s Deli for over a year now, and decided a few weeks ago to give it a try. Jean’s Special is my absolute favorite and go to sandwich. I’ve been contemplating to order two sandwiches, instead of one, for future visits. I love the friendliness and the variety in their menu!

The best place ever, when I ate that steak n cheese, my mouth felt like heaven. Every bite I took sent juice flying into my mouth, if you’re ever in Bethesda you gotta get yourself a steak n cheese.

Went on a whim - best roast beef sandwich I've ever had in Bethesda. Jean was very friendly like others have mentioned. No pastrami but her kindness made up for that.
