As usual the food was great. Also I had asked for a quiet table and got one. We will be back.
We had an excellent experience at Medium Rare. The staff was extremely attentive, the food was delicious. It was fresh, hot and generous portions- both times! The servers were particularly were extremely aware of dietary restrictions and even comped us two glasses of champagne as we were celebrating an anniversary. Because of how thoughtful and professional everyone at Medium Rare is, it is a favorite place for celebrations - or just because we want to.
Always a great time at medium rare. Celebrated my son's birthday and they did everything well.
We really enjoyed ourselves! Great steak and magical secret sauce. Didn't know what to expect with nothing to order except for how you like your steak... it was delicious.
Busy night but we had a reservation and they were able to seat us in 5 min! Fast service and good food.
Very noisy environment due to clientele voice levels and staff shuffling around constantly.
It is SO, SO good at Medium Rare. It has a simple menu of bread, salad, steak frites with an amazing sauce. For many, it is perfect. (Note that there is a vegan option of a portobello mushroom with red pepper sauce.) The service is terrific. Shout out to our server Tabitha who took good care of us. There are five different dessert options which are large and delicious. I would caution that you know that the restaurant in Bethesda is really loud (but great if you love the loud 80s and 90s bands) and very tight/crowded. Make sure you get an Open Table reservation because on a Saturday night, the walk-ins could only sit outside under the heat lamps or vie for one of the four seats at the bar.
The server Ever and Chris made our night so special. A good friend turned 21 tonight and they gave us a wonderful experience with great food and service. They even helped us blow up the birthday balloons to rush for our birthday friend’s arrival. 10/10 service, food, and experience!!

We had a wonderful “happy birthday” dining experience. The steak, fries, and salad were, as always, delicious; the steak cooked exactly as requested= medium rare! The sparkler/flare decorated dessert added a nice festive touch. Our table servers were great.
Medium Rare is a carnivore’s paradise! The perfectly cooked, juicy medium-rare steak was a flavor explosion, tender and bursting with savory goodness. The ambiance is cozy yet vibrant, and the service is top-notch, making every bite a delight. A must-visit for meat lovers craving a memorable dining experience!

Food was very good, but the plates are not large. Not surprising considering the price. We ordered a bottle of wine, that could be why they came out with some leftover steak and fries. The service was excellent.
For first timers we didn't know you got two servings of food. Unfortunately, this wasn't explained to us by the waiter when asked "how does the food ordering work." Two in our party wanted portabella and steak so we thought we could just split and share. The waiter asked if we wanted it first or second, which we didn't understand until a lot of back and forth, which could have been avoided if explained to us that we got two orders. I love that you got two orders but would have LOVED it even more if we could have done 1/2 and 1/2 for the first and second order so we had steak and portabella on the same plate. We also didn't realize you got a second order of fries since they brought the second order of steak out first and then we asked if we could get more fries, but some people were already 1/2 way through their second serving. The restaurant was busy, which is great for the restaurant, not so great for customers. The waiter seemed to be in a rush every time he was at our table. As soon as we sat down (not our whole party was there) he asked how we wanted our steak. It would have also been great for him to explain there is only one type of tequila and vodka. Again, would have removed the back and forth on what was available. We will go back and glad we know how it works instead of feeling like we were putting the waiter out, by asking questions.
