This place is a 10/10 I just finished eating and I already wanna go back and get more environment is nice and a really chill spot to be around and the food is great a lot of amazing options if you can make your own sub that would be cool but the options here are already good and the service here was the best seems like the owner likes to treat everyone here like family and that's the best and I'm definitely coming back here again for sure thankfully it's close by if you're in the area check it out right now

Our first time here and we'll definitely be back. Classic small main street diner - if you walked in here without knowing what year it was, you could guess anywhere from the 1930s to the present. Only about 15 seats, so if you come at a busy time, you might have to get take out. We were there after the lunch rush, and there were only 6 or 7 people during the time we were there, but there was a steady stream of people coming in for take out. The food was delicious, with generous portion sizes - my wife could only finish about half of her souvlaki platter. The service was quick, attentive, and friendly.Parking: Large county parking lot just around the corner on Highland.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is accessible but has a somewhat steep climb from the sidewalk. The only seating is stools at the counter, so if you can't get out of your chair to sit on a stool, you should get takeout or delivery.

Saturday 11/11/2023 I got a takeout order of the super steak n cheese special (double meat portion) 12$. The steak n cheese was decent and the price for it was reasonable. The service left me with mixed views. Ordering the food was straight forward and the chef cooks right infront of you and chats with customers which is cool. But the reason it left me with mixed views is when I was waiting with my friend to place my order, I heard the lead cook say "keep an eye on those two in the back" (or something like that) and thats very odd cause he was definitely referring to us and we were also the only black people there at the moment. Hopefully I misheard for their sake but that's definitely not a good look.

Tank Yunger down here in Delaware. I was a regular for many years. Retired and have not found a decent steak sub yet.

Not Me

If you ever want to experience 1930's hole in the wall diner with the BEST food around, mosey over to Peter's Carryout. Parking meters on the street, around the block, and a metered lot diagonally behind the building. The store front is on a very busy street, so call head and ask a friend to hop out of the car to pick up. You won't be disappointed. So far EVERYTHING has been delightful and my family cleans the plates: hearty helpings of Philly style steak-n-cheese with or without extras options (ham, etc), chicken slovaki platter, the Italia sub, hot crispy fries (with or without Old Bay seasoning), and onion rings and more. The staff are so kind, polite, and work together as an amazing, well-oiled machine. This place isn't huge, yet they weave in and out behind the counter and crank out a huge number of dishes every 3 to 5 minutes. Each plate looks great, and they have a knack for presentation. The french style sub roll is FRESH and crispy on the outside, with chewy deliciousness on the inside. They dont have to advertise - it's THAT amazing! For a gluten-free dish, they put philly cheese steak on a bed of shredded lettuce, tomato, onion, etc, and I was 100% satisfied. Another time, the chicken slovaki w dressing and tsaki sauce, and if I wasnt in public I would have licked the plate, it was soooooo good.Hot coffee, iced tea, fountain soda, some soda, and water bottles (to go) are available, as well as fried seafood, mozzarella sticks, homemade chili and soup, and dessert. Lots of options. There is one step (PULL door to open), and the place is really small, did I say it was a hole in the wall? There is little space behind the counter, permanent stools at the counter, and just enough room to stand behind a stool to watch soccer on the large tv. The owner supports vets and offered to carry my family member inside to eat rather than our car. I fell in love w the owner and staff from that minute on. His adult son looks just like him, and just as kind, and the cooks are friendly and phenomenal.Fries come in a huge basket, as do onion rings, and they are hot when ready! Be careful- lol! You'll want to eat them fast they are so good. Please tip well - these folks deserve every penny!Dietary restrictions: They will make any hearty sandwich ontona bed of lettuce, tomatoes, onion, etc. To avoid bread (gluten). If allergic to seafood- ask first about the deep fries bc some items.are cooled in the same oil.as the shrimp, but not all foods.Parking: Front of store is directly on a busy street, but metered street parking is available on the building sides and back.
