I love Tate Bakery — perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a coffee and dessert with friends. The Bethesda location is nice and relaxed, but overall I wish their bakeries were a bit more comfortable for sitting, especially outside.

Moderately priced tasty food options, decent coffee, busy feel. Food delivered to your table after ordering at the counter.

I ordered the prosciutto Parmesan scrambled eggs plate online and got a cold greasy bucket of bacon, bacon grease, and eggs. Came with a bagel. As you can see from the picture not sure if you can call it that. Also, there was NO PROSCIUTTO, which was part of the only reason I ordered this. The “bagel” was also dry and firm. And genuinely everything was soggy with bacon grease. Not my cup of tea.
Also, my girlfriend ordered a matcha and it was clearly just the green tea powder and no sweetener or anything.
I recommend you find a new bagel recipe, find new packaging, and don’t forget the ingredients that are in the name of the menu item. Thank you.

Such good croissant and coffee I forget the flavor of the croissant but it was green and you get to see the cars whiz by while you enjoy your breakfast very pretty

The turkey sandwich barely had any turkey on it. Mostly bread and sauce.
This one is nicer and cleaner than other Tatte I’ve been.

Ordered a sandwich from Tatte, got delivered a salad with a side of hair in it, to add insult to overpriced injury.

It was my first time at this location I ordered cappuccino but the mug was so dirty and it was an expected experience.
Despite it being a bustling weekday morning, service was fast and friendly. Space was airy and alive. My mocha looked Insta-worthy and tasted great, as did the pain au chocolat. Dining partner loved her matcha tea.

We had a big group of us, all of which (except one) traveled from out of town to to be there for a wedding and we were having brunch 3 hours before one of our close friends got hitched. These wonderful men were so accommodating and kind to our group despite us being walk-ins. All the food was good and we ordered everything from the shakshuka to breakfast sandwich to short rib grilled cheese, to pastries, their salads. ALL the food was delicious! This was my first time
In DC but I will be back for sure if nothing else, than to go back to Tatte’s.
