The vibe is top-notch. A corner all glass windows cafe. The service was quick. They will bring it to you if you prefer that. Super friendly staff and super busy as well.
I had a mocha which was quite delicious.

I visited Tatte Bethesda on Saturday, March 8th 2025. I came to spend the afternoon with a friend to read together and enjoy the day. I have a severe nut and dairy allergy, and make sure to always let staff know this when ordering items to eat or drink. I decided on ordering the Tatte House Latte (Honey Halva Iced). I explained to the worker taking my order that I have a nut and dairy allergy. She offered me oat milk as a substitute for the latte instead of regular milk. Once receiving my latte, I took one drink and started feeling ill. My stomach was very upset and I started feeling nauseous. I grabbed a menu to look at what was listed in the House Latte- I was unfamiliar with "Halva" so I searched online and found that it is a paste made from sesame and nuts like pistachios, hazelnuts, and almonds. Nowhere on the menu is it listed that this item contains nuts, and the lady taking my order did not mention this either. I ended up having to throw up in the restroom of the coffee shop and take an uber home- leaving my friend at the coffeeshop and being unable to enjoy my afternoon. All of this could have been avoided if the staff taking my order were trained on the ingredients in their menu items. For something as common as a nut allergy, staff should know to inform customers that if they have a nut allergy, they should choose another item. Had I drank more of the latte, my reaction would have been more severe and life threatening. I do not plan to return to this location, given my negative experience.

Some one of the cashiers who’s a girl seems racist… we were told to wait at the counter for over 10 min while prob over 10 people just go straight to the cashier to order. During the mean time, no one has asked us. Maybe just bc we are Asians….

Nice overall atmosphere. Food is rather bland and heavy on the empty carbs (egg breakfast is bread heavy, burekas with barely any cheese). Service is ok

I hate that I have to write this review because I visit this location every morning before work. Lately my iced lattes have not been having the added Vanilla that I pay an extra 50 cents for. This has happens 3 times. Also when looking for your order the employees just stare at you and don’t offer to help and when you ask them they don’t seem happy to help. Disappointed that I have to switch my daily coffee shop but my order is always getting messed up.

This coffee shop has a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.
I met with another physician here, hoping for a productive discussion over coffee and a light meal. However, we quickly realized that vegan options were almost nonexistent. The menu made a point to highlight vegetarian items but seemed unaware that veganism even exists.
None of the baked goods were vegan, all contained animal products, which are not only unhealthy but also environmentally harmful and rooted in cruelty. The dairy and egg industries inherently involve the eliminating animals, including male cows and chickens deemed useless for production.
It’s frustrating that in 2025, a coffee shop’s menu can still feel this outdated. Given the increasing demand for plant-based options, it’s disappointing to see a complete lack of effort to accommodate vegans.
Next time, we’ll take our business to a vegan bakery that aligns with our values.
Happy to change the review if significant changes are made.
All baked goods could easily be made with egg and milk substitutes.

2nd time I come here and their management is rude… it's time for someone to say something.
Here they treat you badly, the managers are spoiled with clients.

The service was awful. I stood at the register for about five minutes while the cashiers chatted with each other instead of helping me.

Very loud. Could barely hear the person sitting across from me. Didn't help that the staff cleaning up around us were banging dishes. Food was amazing though. Delicious latte. Very nice interior design.

I love Tatte but this location needs help. Some of the food we ordered online was sold before we were able to pick up our order, which was cold anyway. The staff had no idea what was going on. This experience was not worth $40 for two cold coffees and a cold sandwich!

Very limited seating. To the point where if you don’t have a table food won’t be brought to you and rather is packed to go. There aren’t any signs stating this either.

The claim that the French toast was prepared by soaking the bread overnight in custard was misleading. In reality, it was essentially an inch-and-a-half-thick slice of plain bread topped with mascarpone and strawberries. While visually appealing, it ultimately underwhelms the palate.

ordered an iced pistachio latte and a chicken pita.
the iced pistachio latte was unpleasant to drink. im not sure if its meant to have so many little chunks of pistachios, but it was really unpleasant drinking the latte with all these little bits of nuts coming through the straw. even with all the chunks, you still couldn’t taste the pistachio flavor.. I had to toss the drink. maybe it was just a mix up or something because I can’t imagine that being what it was supposed to taste/feel like.
the chicken pita filling was pretty good, flavorful, but the pita itself was kinda burnt and crunchy, made it a little difficult to bite the thing without it falling apart and having all the filling spill out
staff was friendly though, and the place is pretty and clean.
