First time visitor. Staff was friendly and service was quick. I had a blood orange iced tea (very flavorful with no sugar needed), and some lemon poppy seed cake (dense but good). If I'm ever in the area, I hope to return to try some other items.

✨ Tatte Bakery & Café – Worth the Hype? ✨

I stopped by Tatte for a casual bite and left officially obsessed. I ordered their smoked salmon breakfast sandwich on a housemade bun, layered with creamy scrambled eggs, capers, pickled onions, fresh sprouts, and a tangy aioli. The textures and flavors were chef’s kiss — savory, balanced, and satisfying without being heavy.

Paired it with an iced matcha latte that was smooth, earthy, and just the right amount of sweet.

The vibe? Bright, airy, and chic. Perfect spot for catching up with a friend or zoning into work with a solid playlist and great food.

Some staff members were incompetent. This is the most chaotic Tatte that I have been to as a customer of 9 years. Our order was wrong once (completely different item) and then some items were missing. The french toasts, both savory and sweet, were terrible. The bread was far too thick and burnt. The salmon bowl was good.

Love the atmosphere, but absolutely disappointed with the service. My first and definitely the last time visiting this bakery, which is unfortunate since the food is good too.

The servers and employees behind the counter were downright rude, and seemed to have an attitude for some God forsaken reason. We ordered some desserts and savory baked goods, and instead of the staff volunteering to heat up the savory bakes, made such a face when we asked if they could do it.

My friend mistakenly placed a finger on the glass counter, and this staff so very rudely told her to move her hand from the glass. I get it, we should not touch the glass for hygiene reasons, but there's a certain way you talk to customers, or for any other person for that matter.

Just working for a fancy bakery doesn't give you the right to look down on others, especially customers.

So turned off by the service, I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone till I see the management doing something to remedy this.

We visited this location while in DC looking for pastries. This one came highly recommended and let me tell you, the people working here ABSOLUTELY hate working here. You could just tell by their nonchalant attitudes and eye rolls. This was our first time here and trust me we will never be back!
