So I was looking for a sea restaurant I’m glad I came to salt line with my family great service by Dawson food was great atmosphere recommended
Although I had what probably was one of the best servers ever, I can’t say the same about the main course. I had ordered the lobster roll hot which was really recommended by the server and I’ve had my fair share of them and can say that they’re really good. Unfortunately in this case it was not because one, although the roll was good, the lobster was very bland almost like no seasoning was put and the only thing that made it taste somewhat decent was the tartar sauce I had asked on the side. Needless to say, service was up to par but the food not so much I would like to go back and get a better food experience than before!
Amazing lunch! Our party shared a bunch of things. Everything was great. Exceptional service as well.

Three of us went to a late lunch at the salt line. None of us really liked it that much and we will not be returning. The menu was pretty limited to people with food Allergies and other dietary restrictions . We got one lobster roll dressed, one lobster roll with butter, Maple carrots, coddies and a Greek feta cheese salad. Not a fan of any of it. The lobster roll dressed had too much mayo. I thought the carrots were too salty. the Greek feta salad had green olives instead of Kalamata and some root vegetable, which was tasteless. Disappointing.

The United States employee pool continues to not impress. This restaurant is a prime example of a new generation that lacks communication skills and basic awareness when speaking with paying consumers. Restaurant empty and they ask if you have a reservation. You then get seated at the worst table in corner next to bathroom asked to be moved to window booth again they go back to host stand to check for a reservation. Im dealing with 20 somethings so keep following. I order ask for extra scallops the waitress continues the theme

Great New England style restaurant that opened in Bethesda and Nationals Park about two years ago. We came for the fried Ipswich whole belly clams, which are not easy to find in Maryland. They were amazing! They also have daily oyster offerings. Fish is regularly trucked and flown in. Seating is also light and roomy. Will visit again!
Dietary restrictions: They have a Gluten-Free menu with many choices

Beautiful location and ambiance. Not many non-shellfish dishes are available here. It is an oyster bar, but if that isn't something you eat, I would go elsewhere after having a drink at the bar.
Parking: Some in immediate vicinity. but garages are within a few blocks
Kid-friendliness: Leave your kids at home unless having a family night and eating in the main dining area

My company held a Happy Hour event at The Salt Line. They did an amazing job with the food and service! Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the food and drinks. Our server, Madelynn, did a great job!

Very disappointed. The bacon in the bucatini was overcooked and inedible. The $39 tilefish was served raw and, when we sent it back, the chef said it was because of a “bloodline” in the fish, which I don't think is a good thing!
