The only reason I gave an overall 4 star rating is because I went last night for dinner with 2 friends (for a total of 3 people). The receipt listed 6 guests and added an automatic gratuity of 18%. Most restaurants only add automatic gratuities to parties of six or more so this is probably why the receipt said 6 guests. Other than the automatic tip, I thought the food was delicious and the wait staff was cheerful and efficient.

Hit up Blue Sunday for HH. They offer a variety of items on their HH menu and I must've tried one of everything. Lol. I enjoyed everything except the dragon scales. The consistency was off. I had a margarita, which isn't a HH drink but it's what I wanted. Lol. The bartenders were nice and attentive. I went early so it wasn't packed at all. I'm sure it gets busy the later you go. So I suggest an early arrival. I would go again.

We stopped by Blue Sunday for dinner. The restaurant is nestled in the far corner of a shopping plaza. When we walked in we were greeted by a nice hostess who got us seated right away. You have the option to sit in their bar area or their dining area. We asked if happy hour was just limited to the bar area and was told that we could enjoy happy hour in the dining area which was a great touch. The restaurant has a moody vibe as it is very dimly lit and great R&B music playing throughout the restaurant. Our waitress Cierra came over right way and greeted us. She served us some bbq chips in the way bread is usually are served and a silver vat of iced water with mint and lemon. She was so awesome! She took our order, checked on us periodically and kept my soda filled. We ordered the Long Island ice tea and a Sprite. The cocktail was strong and delicious. The Sprite was crisp. The food came out pretty fast and that was a great thing because we were starving. We started out with the old bay fried chicken wings, the tempura shrimp sushi roll, and the chowder soup with crab. The wings were decent just a tad on the large size. We prefer smaller pieces but that's just our preference. The sushi roll was pretty good, again on the larger side. The soup was good. It was creamy and full of crab and clams. It needed a little heat so I added a little hot sauce. We ordered the General Tso's chicken which came with a small bowl of fried rice. We had the choice of either white or fried rice and choose the later. It was really good! The chicken was cooked well and was crispy without being dry. The fried rice was a basic one that complemented the chicken well. Definitely a cute place for a date night or a dinner with friends. We will be back to try other items on the menu.

Our waitress was Cierra and she was fantastic. The whole staff had great attitudes and overall amazing customer service. The ambiance of the establish was chic and inviting. The food was phenomenal, we didn't realize there was happy hour but of course we took advantage! We enjoyed the gumbo, tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, Godzilla roll and also an order of the corn dip! Couldn't tell you which one we liked best because it was all incredible.

This was probably my third time at this restaurant and it never fails to be a good time. The music is always amazing and the atmosphere is just somewhere you would want to go to have some good food and drinks and chill out with your friends or family. My server was Justin and he was a pleasure. He was attentive and funny and always made sure everyone at the table was happy. The only thing I did not enjoy was the tacos. They really didn't have flavor and were just blah, which kind of sucked because I went for taco Tuesday. But the rest of the food was amazing. All in all, I will definitely be back.

My servicer Justine was excellent. He was very professional and courteous. He was delightful, well versed in the restaurant's operations and his recommendations were perfect.

What happened to this place? We were seated fairly quickly, then sat there for 18 minutes? No menus? No waters? No explanation? We left with no issue, however, I'm disappointed. Kindly, prepare more for your Saturday crowds, never seat without ensuring a server is available and ,at the very least, have your hostesses take the water/drink orders. It's still beautiful in there though....and the vibe is unmatched!

This restaurant is a classic case of a little bit of success going to your head. I went on their website and made reservations a full week prior to the dinner party that some of my sorority sisters and I were planning. The online system allowed only for 8 but we were expecting 12 to 15. I called a few days after making the appt. and asked them to bump us up. They said they could only guarantee a table of 12. Knowing a few sisters would probably cancel, I accepted the 12. To my horror, the night before the scheduled dinner a man called us and said that he would need to move us to the bar because he has a group of 50 that just made reservations. Long story short, he pushed us to the side at the last minute for a larger group. He could not accommodate 15 but he could find space for 50? I went on line and found Nanna Angela's (only 7 minutes away) and they accommodated us with no problems. In fact, I plan to review them. They were outstanding. I do NOT recommend Blue Sunday.

Blue Sunday Bar and Grill is the ultimate hangout spot for a chill vibe and seriously good eats. The service? A+--friendly, attentive, and always on point. And don't even get me started on the food. From the mouthwatering sushi rolls to their soul food fusion creations, every dish is a flavor explosion. But the real star of the show? The happy hour specials. I'm talking unbeatable deals that make every visit even sweeter. Whether you're craving sushi or in the mood for some soulful comfort food, Blue Sunday has got you covered. It's the kind of place you'll keep coming back to for more.

This evening my sister and I celebrated my mother’s birthday at Blue Sunday for our very first visit. It was absolutely wonderful! Blue Sunday definitely exceeded our expectations and we will most definitely be back. When we arrived, we were greeted by very presentable and kind hostesses who seated us right away. Then our waiter greeted us promptly with such kindness. We ordered our drinks and got the calamari as our appetizer, which came out right on time. After we placed our entree orders, we noticed how nice the vibe is at this place. In the DMV, it’s so hard to find a nice, chill, but also fun and vibrant place to eat and drink in the evening time without having to go to a club or bar only. However, this place is definitely what we need. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS, drinks were strong and tasty, service was super professional and attentive, the environment was super clean and the other guests seemed to be having a great time as well. I really appreciate the time, effort, and care the staff puts into this place to make it such a pleasant experience for everyone. Pleaseeeee keep up the great work, we need places like this and customers like me and my family will make sure to keep it around. Thank you all so much for a first time and birthday experience!
