Came by here today based on my friends recommendation during lunch time hours and the lights were shut off and the doors locked with no message on the door! What a poor way to run a business. What a waste of my time & gas which I value. I doubt if I will be back. There are other Poké restaurants that I know will be open for lunch!. I checked the franchise website and Bowie is no longer listed as a location. Annapolis is the only city in MD and it says coming soon. So this location is most likely permanently closed. It would be nice to let people know.

I love their food but I think this location is permanently closed now. I placed an order on 1/1/23, drove to get it, and the store was locked/empty. I thought maybe it was due to the NY holiday. But I went back on 1/22/23 at 4pm and again there was nobody in the store, lights off. Every time I've called their number (301) 860-1918, nobody answers.My advice is to call the store first before placing any online orders.

Today was my first visit and wow!!! I am excited now. Yes, I was one who passed this spot often and kept walking, while thinking there was nothing here I would like. But...baaabyyy let me tell yall -- TRY IT!I "Built my own bowl" with the help of Kim's knowledge, expertise and patience to guide my selections. So this is what we created:Base -- brown rice/spring mixProteins -- shrimp/shrimp/chicken (these are the cooked options along with octopus (NOT) -- cause raw just is not appealing to me)Mix Ins -- edamame, OG Veg (jalapenos and something good!)Marinating Sauces -- Wicked Wahine, OG Sauce (don't recall the ingredients, but yum!!)Toppings -- pickled ginger, scallions, mango salsa, seaweed, chili flakes, sesame seeds, tempura crispsFinishing sauces -- ono ono, togarashi (these here sauces!!!! great finishing touch!!)The ingredients were fresh, portions were ample, and the bowl looked and smelled amazing! I headed home excited about my lunch creation. Arrived home, grabbed my fork, and dug in....O M G. The flavors all came together for a very palate pleasing experience. My smiles and moans of joy drew my attention and suddenly 2 more forks appeared. They all said -- that is GOOD! What is it? Well, after MY bowl was empty (and my stomach too, because I had to share), I RETURNED to Island Fin Poke (yes, 2 hrs after my first visit) AND BOUGHT 2 MORE BOWLS. I will definitely frequent this spot in the future and encourage those who seek variety to try it!!

I've gotten Island Fin Poke a few times, and I've enjoyed it each time. My in person visit was a little iffy, because I was asking for double protein and the gentlemen who took over for the young lady that started making it either didn't trust that she hadn't already put enough protein in my bowl, or was trying to be skimpy with the protein. The young lady had already told me that each portion was 4 scoops, and she had put 5 on my bowl. When he took over, she confirmed this, but he put 1 more scoop, and then he pump faked on the next one and didn't fill the scoop. He left the last scoop off. I didn't want to make a scene, because to my knowledge he was about to charge for double protein, but skimped me out of a whole scoop, but when we got to the table my wife noticed he hadn't charged for double protein. I was confused, because I really wanted the double protein, but at least he ended up only shorting himself. Had he charged me, I probably wouldn't even bother coming back. That aside the Poke bowls here are really good. They have a large selection of toppings and sauces to choose from, and all the ingredients taste really fresh. This has been one of my favorite guilt free cheat day go to's and hopefully things will go smoother on my next visit. I'm sure a few people are going to say this spot is like a "Poke version of Chipotle" and they're not far off, but Chipotle isn't what it used to be these days, and Island Fin pretty solid. So in terms of picking and choosing what you want, they are indeed like Chipotle, but as far as service and quality, Island Fin has the upper hand there...

I ordered two bowls through DoorDash and they completely mixed up the ingredients between the two bowls and then threw jalapeños all over both of them that we didn’t order so that it wasn’t edible. Some of our ingredients were missing. They had the wrong sauce on each bowl and they switched the meats and rice is wrong between the two bowls and basically completely confused all of our ingredients between the two bowls! I called the store and they refused to issue a refund and told me to call DoorDash instead. My husband brought the two bowls back to their store and again they refused to assist. Do not order food here. Their manager is not on site and the teens behind the counter do not have the appropriate customer service attitude.

We’re from San Diego, CA and have high standards for poke so for this place to have 4.6 stars I thought it was good to go. It is such a disappointment. Spent $50 on my husband and myself and don’t really understand how or why. The fish didn’t taste fresh at all. The quantity of the fish doesn’t translate to the quality or taste. Just not very good. Only reason I’m giving it two stars is because the Dole ice cream was yummy and the staff was friendly.

I used to really like this place but the quality has gone downhill. Both in terms of the staff and the food quality. The people they hire just don’t seem to care anymore and they are frequently out of basic ingredients like salmon or tuna or even seaweed. The guy today didnt know the difference between tuna, salmon or chicken and used the rice spoon to scoop the raw fish. The freshness of the fish recently has been horrible. As if the fish was old or wasnt stored properly. I am a huge sushi and poke bowl fan, but unless you don’t know any better this place is now very disappointing. Sad because they started off so well and I was excited to see a new healthier option in Bowie. But the last two times I have been, I walked out because they were out of most things or concerned me about the food safety.

The Build Your Own Bowl (BYOB) with spicy tuna was absolutely delicious. The spicy tuna was fresh, mildly spicy, with a buttery taste and silky smooth texture. There are over twenty toppings to suit anyone's taste that vary from sweet, salty, spicy, and etc. The food is healthy, flavorful, and plentiful. The pineapple Dole Whip was fluffy and sweet.As a first timer, Jayden walked me through each and every single topping. Beginning from the base, then the protein, toppings, and how to build the perfect bowl. She made recommendations of customer and her personal favorite combos. When offered a sample of the Pineapple Dole Soft Serve, I ordered one which was a great sweet treat. The food and service was excellent and I would definitely return.
