I will take this time out of my busy schedule to write an honest and lengthy review, especially because I don't have a picture to add (You'll understand why as you read below ?). Well deserved too ?. For the years I've been living in Bowie, FINALLY a Jamaican ?? restaurant I can go to and enjoy every bite! ? when I get home from a long shift at work, the last thing on my mind is going in the kitchen. Ramoun is truly a hunger savior! I am truly impressed by the authentic Jamaican food I can get at my fingertips! I mean, every single thing my family and I have eaten at this restaurant makes our eyes roll in our heads and moments undisturbed, as the food touches our palate ?. I can't begin to name the many items we have tried from regular everyday food, to Special food (specific days for each meal) such as Stew peas, Red beef soup, Seafood and more. The delicious menu selection makes us salvate every time! My fave is the Fry Chicken with Curry Goat gravy on the rice and peas ? my daughter is over the moon for the Stew Peas lol. The true and original selection of drinks they offer are to die for! Not to mention, when that Pineapple ginger hits your throat, it's almost like an assurance of a quick fix to any inflammatory response, common cold has to go away ?. Just recently my family tried the rum cake and they still can't get over how tasty and moist it is! To top it off, the staff is extremely nice and pleasant, the ambience and atmosphere is great and always clean ? and the hours are very convenient. By the way, the graphic designer did an awesome job with that logo.Jay

Can’t believe I actually found a Jamaican restaurant in the DMV that cooks good authentic Jamaican cuisine. My favorite is the Brown stew Red Snapper, oxtail pasta, ackee with corned pork & stew peas with pigs tail. The Ginger lemonade is the most refreshing drink I have ever had. I went to their seafood Friday’s & the Escovitch lobster was the bomb. This restaurant is very clean perfect for dining, good reggae music in the background, staff very friendly & professional especially the owner Ramoun, he always make sure you’re ok before you leave. Thumbs up to Ramoun’s Kitchen keep up the good job. I Highly Recommend This Restaurant, Great value for the money $

The Rasta oxtail was superb. The oxtail fell right off the bone. I usually get the rice and peas and I have gotten the stew chicken and oxtail which were all great but the Rasta was definitely hitting. The dessert bread pudding was nice touch at the end. I was going to take a picture but I got distracted by the food and forgot. Thank you!

Tried Ramouns Kitchen twice and thoroughly enjoyed the food both time. The first time my granddaughter wanted curry chicken and beef patties. We also order oxtails with rice & peas and cabbage. The food was tender, flavorful and impressive. A few days later, we decided to order again, this time having: curry chicken; brown stew chicken; a combo platter with jerk chicken, curry goat and oxtail. Our sides were rice & peas; cabbage; and plantains. We also ordered beef, curry chicken and jerk chicken patties, coco bread, run cake, festival and pineapple ginger drinks. While everything was delicious, my favorite was the curry goat. Next time I will request extra gravy. The patties, coco bread and festival was good but the cooked meats and cabbage stood out as clear winners. Oh... I forgot to mention, their serving size/portions are extremely generous. The interior is small and they have a few tables if you choose to dine in. However, I saw a lot of carryouts. It's also very clean inside and they serve dine in meals on glass plates with actual silverware. Give this place a try folks. I recommend placing your order at least 30-45 minutes before you need it. Yes, the food is worth planning a bit ahead. We'll definitely be back. So glad to have a wonderful Jamacian restaurant in Bowie. Welcome to the neighborhood Ramouns Kitchen.

I finally tried this spot as i love island fare . . . they did not disappoint. I tried the curry, jerk and brown stew chicken and all were very tasty along with rice and peas and veggies (which they don't give you enough of) . . . The ladies at the counter were very nice and helpful.

They take super long and will serve someone who's ordered after you before you. They have good food but act unprofessional

Great food!! I’m so happy we finally have a good Jamaican restaurant in Bowie bc the others are trash. I recommend you order ahead as the wait time can be long but the food is worth the wait.

If I could give no stars I would. The service was awful. I called in my order. Arrived at time per instructions by woman who took my order only to wait an additional 45 minutes for our food. No apologies and mediocre food. No thanks! You want Jamaican food, there are many other options around. Don't go here.

If you’ve not tried this place, don’t wait any longer! This restaurant is located in the Harris Teeter shopping center with plenty of parking. The restaurant offers seating and a cool vibe. We started with the fritter. It was moist, had great texture and reminded us of the islands. Be careful, they may be addictive. Next up was the curry chicken and goat curry. It comes with two sides. We tried the green plantain, sweet plantains, rice and peas and the dumpling. Everything was excellent. We also had two of the freshly made juices…amazing!! The prices were very reasonable and portions were good. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Even better than last time and minimal wait time. Wife enjoyed the curry chicken and plantains as well, but I didnt get a pic of it, because it was gone so fast!
