I've had two back-to-back problems with the delivery part of the online shopping experience with Safeway and while the company is aware they have a problem, they're unwilling to fix it. Cost cutting at Safeway has led to more self-serve checkouts, no one at the service desk, and a phone that rings without pick up. Even with a nice remodel, this Safeway just cannot get customer service right. The folks in the self checkout area always look like you're bothering them, the hand carts aren't conveniently located, but the ONE plus is the pharmacy. Love the pharmacy but the store itself not so much. It's Giant for me moving forward.

I think the worst thing about this rating is that its not all Safeway''s fault. I'm sure the pandemic played a minor role. However, they NEVER have more than two cashiers working and they close ridiculously early. They definitely tried to make the store look better but I still rather drive to Crofton to go either to Wegmans or Giant. Heck I'll even go to Harris Teeter before I shop here and they're ONE MINUTE from my home. They're nothing more than a glorified CVS with more groceries....read full review
