“I placed a big order for Thanksgiving 🦃 and got around 50 wings 🍗 and fries 🍟. The wings came in 5 different flavors, and we were pleasantly surprised by the overall quality! With such a large order, we expected the wings to be soggy, but they were actually super crunchy and packed with flavor 😋👏.

Philly’s Best Pizza & Subs in Columbia, MD absolutely delivered! I had their Philly cheesesteak and it was SUPERB. The meat was tender and flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and loaded generously on a fresh, soft roll. The cheese was melted just right and every bite was packed with flavor.

You can tell they take pride in their food. Fast service, great portions, and everything tasted fresh. If you’re in Columbia and craving a real deal cheesesteak, this is the spot. I’ll definitely be back!

“What a welcoming little Ethiopian coffee shop! Once a market, Dire Coffee opened in 2020. Family-owned, Dire Coffee serves Ethiopian coffee beans in all different ways- black coffee, lattes, and more. I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte. It came out hot and strong. The woman behind the register, who's the wife of the owner, asked how sweet I wanted my latte. She was very kind!

To eat, they have a variety of food. I ordered one sambusa and it was filled with lentils. It hit the spot!

“I was at the spot last night, and honestly, I wasn’t going to say anything because I know how hard it is to run a business. I’m not the type to leave bad reviews, but this experience was hard to ignore.
There was a short, dark-skinned guy behind the counter. He was on his phone the whole time while taking my order, barely said anything, and when my food was ready, he just handed me the bag without a word, no “thank you” no “do you need any sauces” nothing. Then he walked off to a spot near the pizza prep table, away from where my food had been made, still on the phone, just chatting like nothing happened. I’ve never experienced that kind of service in any restaurant.
What really bothered me is my wife had the same experience a while back—same guy, same rude energy. I didn’t think much of it then, but seeing it firsthand changed that.
I’m an African American man, and I actually enjoy supporting places like this.
Me and my family buy from here often and we like the food, but service like that? It pushes people away. I’m saying this with respect, not hate. I hope it helps things improve.“

However, two weeks later, when I walked in to ask about a possible refund, the manager and staff were incredibly responsive. Instead of giving me a refund, they ended up giving me an order. “I like their food, but they should make drinks mandatory with orders. Sometimes, for some reason, even if you select a drink, it doesn't appear on the order. And when you ask for it, they don't want to give it to you. And even when they have given it to me, they do it as if it were a courtesy. It's included in the price. If you explicitly say you don't want a drink, that's fine, but it's not always like that. And some employees should be more courteous in these situations.“
