We found Ava’s last year during a trip to Cambridge. Not realizing they had moved around the corner from their previous location, was a bit of a surprise. However, new location same great food and service. So happy to have found this local gem! Pizza is excellent, spaghetti and meatballs for the kids were a hit, and their local beer selection is nice! Highly recommend Ava’s for anyone who is in town or visiting the Hyatt Chesapeake, looking for close but great alternative.

I'm staying at The Hyatt Resort, and I always check out best food in the area. Ava's did not disappoint. I had a chicken ceasar salad that was the best I ever had. My husband had a Mediterranean pie. We took food home also. The meatball sub was everything. Our server was a sweet girl named Cassidy. She is a Marsha Brady lookalike. She'll have to look that up. Lol. A really nice intimate atmosphere.Vegetarian options: My husband had a Mediterranean pie it had all the fixings and a Shrimp and pasta dish. They have salad varieties also.Parking: It was 2 hrs free parking in front of the restaurant.

Lone diner on a Friday night in the bar area. Ordered the meatball app and the arugula and fennel salad with a glass of red wine. OMG! The meatballs were so tender and covered in the most amazing tomato sauce! The lemon vinaigrette on the arugula salad was so refreshing! Wine was the perfect pairing! Bar folks were a bit loud but that did not deter me from absolutely enjoying myself! Must come back with family/friends to share the delicious find!

We had a table for 8 in the back room and it was crowded with other large groups. PIzza's are very good. Service was great even thought "Zippy" took care of the whole back room. They need to do a better job for servicing large groups so the food comes out together or relatively close together. Understandable as the place was busy but it is uncomfortable as people waited to eat their pizzas until the others were served 10 minutes later. Also 2 people had gluten free crust pizzas and they said they were great.

Visited on Sat night in Jan. Great selection of wines and our server was helpful and knowledgeable about wines and food. Loved the arugula and fennel salad! We tried the mushroom pizza and a Detroit style with meatballs and spinach- both were excellent and not too heavy. This is a real gem in Cambridge and will stop on our next trip to the area.

Five of us met for lunch for our book club discussion. Everything was delightful. I loved my Mediterranean pizza, and everyone was very pleased with the food! Best of all was our server, Austin, who did a great job! Ava's is a great addition to the Cambridge dining scene!

First off, the food was DELISH!! We got a deep dish Bianca and a Mediterranean thin crust. Both were SO GOOD!! We gobbled up everything and will definitely go back for more!! I will say that the deep dish pizza was small. There are 4 rectangular pieces per pizza that are just enough for 2 adults who aren't starving. That being said, it was some of the best pizza I've eaten on the Shore! Highly recommend!
