We had duck confit, arugula salad, mussels and rockfish. Everything was fantastic, the plating was elegant and the service was friendly, polite and welcoming.

BEST flash fried oysters!

Nice atmosphere and attentive service. The menu varies. Duck leg confitt was dry and very salty. Pass on the very expensive crab cakes, full of filler for 2 4oz crab cakes $48.00

Delicious! Our families favorite place to celebrate together.

Service and food was great. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that it was a little pricey.

Wow! Everything about our meal was perfect and delicious. We had a set meal for a party, and each course was beautiful in presentation and completely yummy. The salmon was perfectly prepared and the pate was scrumptious. Definitely save room for dessert, the peach cobbler was crispy, fresh and topped with house made ice cream. Service was the right combination of attentive but not intrusive. The atmosphere is delightful in the old section of the town. If you are staying in Cambridge or near by, this should be a must visit if you are a foodie. Hat tip to the folks that run Bistro Poplar. If I lived in Cambridge, I would be there every week. Thank you for a memorable evening.

This is such a little gem. Food was excellent as well as customer service. Cute little place with an amazing seasonal menu. We had the wild boar pate and duck confit to start. Both were so flavorful, just amazing. For dinner we had the quail with pork belly brussel sprouts and the lamb chops with arugula and couscous. The flavors were complimentary and everything was cooked to perfection. Nice wine list with servers knowledgeable about the wine. We had creme brûlée for dessert and it was very good as well. For all we had we were shocked how it wasn't expensive at all. Will be back!!

What a gem! Hubs and I split a few things (we always want to try as many things as possible) and got the goat cheese salad, duck confit, fried oysters and salmon. Everything was perfectly prepared. Great wine list and extremely friendly and knowledgeable service. My only regret is not saving room for dessert!

Wonderful restaurant, great service. Fried oysters were absolutely delicious. Steak frites … amazing, with an abundance of frites. Great choice for dinner in Cambridge.

Can't go wrong here! Extremely pleasant and welcoming staff, delicious food set within a very authentic French bistrot ambiance with beautiful decor. The menu is seasonal so recommendations change but highlights include: excellent locally-sourced oysters (fried), as well as grilled salmon with an Asian flare served atop glass noodles, and a very nice rosé. The fresh warm bread served with the meal was also particularly great. Come support this husband/wife team and you will not be disappointed! Note that it's a small, cosy space, so you may want to call ahead to make sure you can get a spot.

So yummy!! My trout almandine was delicious! The cosmo made with orange vodka -so good. Loved the french music as well -could have been louder.

This place is lovely inside and the service was some of the best we've ever had. My husband ordered the mussels and loved them. It was a huge portion as well. I had the French onion soup as an appetizer - excellent. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the steak frites. It may be because I ordered medium well but I could only eat about 1/3 of the steak as the rest was very tough. It seemed like an inexpensive cut of meat. I would go back tho and just order something else.

Very quaint and cozy spot for a nice dinner. Loved the atmosphere and staff was attentive (note: the restaurant has very limited seating so you'll want to make sure to book a reservation). Enjoyed the appetizers a lot, especially their French Onion Soup. This may have been the best French Onion Soup I've ever had--not too salty, like many others. I got the mahi mahi for dinner which was good but was far too salty for my taste. I wound up scraping off the seasoning. However, the dish itself was inventive, featuring fish with bananas. Would definitely return to this restaurant but try a different entree or ask for light salt.
