Not sure why this place had so many negative reviews. We got quick service and food was good, some portions are small but that’s not at out the norm. We had a great experience. We very accomdating wirh my two little ones. I would say the best food on the Hyatt resort.

I am rating this a 2 because of the atmosphere only on the deck. Otherwise it is a 1 star inside and based on the horrible food that they serve. It looks fairly decent but the crabs cakes were like an appetizer, zucchini had so much soy sauce we couldn’t finish it and not many shrimp for $28. Way overpriced for horrible food. Hyatt needs to do better to keep people coming to visit here.

The food was honestly small for the price and took very very long to come out and was decent- I liked my drunken shrimp but others were dissatisfied with their meal!

Not in the habit of leaving a bad review. Bottle of wine ordered and two glasses were poured from the bottle upon opening, IYKYK. Two specials ordered along with kids menu item and over an hour wait. Kids desert they were out of the ice cream and sorbet. Food was good, service less than stellar. Kitchen shares the blame unless server forgot to put the order in.

The food here really isn’t that good, especially for the price. The atmosphere was nice, but they need a better menu and chef. I’d rather go somewhere off property next time for a nice dinner.

We found the service to be outstanding! The food was excellent! We were so happy with our meal and the staff! Well worth the time to go out and have a dinner by the ocean! Lavonne was our server and he excelled with a bright smile and his excellent knowledge of the menu!!

Absolutely terrible! I hate that you can't see the menu on line because if I had seen it I wouldn't have picked here. The salad was terrible the house dressing was spicy and not great. The food scallops where miniscule and the Rissoto was hard. The wings were great. The cornbread was good. The service was alright. But the menu was so small and nothing worth choosing. The only menu on line was another review and it had double the selections. Do not recommend
Staying at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake for Labor Day weekend and decided to try Blue Point. Able to get a golf cart ride from the hotel to the restaurant which the kids loved. We had made reservations and able to get a table outside. Great view! Glad we sat outside because inside is very loud. Our server came quickly and placed our complete order about 15 min after being seated. We asked that our son’s kids meal of Mac & cheese with tater tots be delivered with the appetizers or as soon as possible. Well it arrived 45 min later after the appetizers and after we had inquired to staff 3 times. Our child was pretty close to meltdown mode when food was delivered. It is a very small serving of Mac & cheese, around 1/2 cup. When we received the bill we were charged $11 for the Mac & cheese even though the menu has it listed as $9. I understand prices change but $11 for 1/2 cup of pasta and tater tots is ridiculous. Once the check was delivered we didn’t see our server again to inquire. I asked the hostess if the menu prices had changed and she stated that she didn’t know and went and asked our server. She returned confirming price had changed. I got the Drunken shrimp it was blah. $28 for 6 shrimp surrounded in sauce, 1/2 of a bok Choi and a very large serving of rice heavily covered in a red seasoning. It made the rice very dry tasting and the meal is bland. Husband and other child got the fish and chips. Not much fish and soggy chips. For a $180+ meal we left very disappointed. Understand it was a holiday weekend and there were several large parties there, but expected better. The oysters on the half shell were delicious.
Service is super slow. Portions are tiny. Lobster mash was SOOOO salty. Nice views but that’s about it.

Part of the Hyatt Regency resort and the prices seem to match the upscale environment. The food is mediocre. The kicker to me was the local oysters at $3.50 each, we get the same ones here for $2.00. West coast oysters are priced at $3.00.
We didn’t go back during our stay at the resort. We went into Cambridge to find better food at reasonable prices.

Wish we could have eaten here every day on our trip.
The food was great. The service was awesome, and the chef even came out to greet us and ask how our food was. Inside and outside seating. This place is a must try!
