Just ate here after a long trip, the food was amazing and wholesome. The sign by the register is a good reminder to people without patience, this is not FAST food. The cashier was very polite and had a friendly demeanor.

Excellent food my husband got the fried flounder with two sides and cornbread perfectly cooked. The sweet potatoes were excellent. The Green beans were so unique.. I got the Curry oxtail and it was beyond good hot steaming hot. It came with two pieces of really good pita bread and Giant container of rice. Yes I did get the double portion cause I wanted leftovers for the next day. I highly recommend this place the atmosphere needs a lot of work so I do recommend taking it to To Go. It’s a nice family, Run Restarant the dad and the son are the cooks and take a lot of pride and what they do.

Food was excellent!!! Big portions and homemade. The dining room needs some love, but seems more of a carry out restaurant than dine in. Don't let that fool ya. Everything was delicious. Enjoy 🙂

Everything was absolutely fantastic. I heard about this place and finally got the chance to try it. Fried catfish was crispy and seasoned well. The greens were cooked to perfection with great flavor. And the fried pickles spears were awesome. Wonderful experience. I will definitely be going back to this place. Check em out

Delicious comfort food in the most unassuming spot.

This restaurant was recommended to me during my stay at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay after I mentioned that the food there was a bit pricey and not very satisfying. I’m so glad we took the recommendation and stopped by on our way home.

Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. I had the catfish with sweet potatoes and spinach, and it truly tasted homemade especially the cornbread.

My girls ordered chicken tenders, fries, and mac and cheese, and they enjoyed every bite.

If you’re in the area and want a good, comforting meal, I definitely recommend stopping by.

We stopped here on the way home from a conference in Cambridge. Super friendly and accommodating staff. We had the 2 piece fried catfish, lamb curry medium spice and side dishes of mashed potatoes and gravy, collard greens, vegetable rice, and fried cabbage. All were exceptionally good. Very flavorful. Each item had a wonderful distinct taste. We opted to eat in. A steady stream of customers came for take out while we were there. Great value and generous portions. Worth the trip! We will return!

I rated their service worst than food at 1 star. I asked the lady if there’s meat/pork in collard greens because I’m vegetarian. I strictly don’t eat meat & it’s common for greens at these types of restaurants. The lady said no. I asked again and told her I cannot eat meat. She said no meat. I order the collard greens. Chunks of some kind of meat all over the greens. She lied to make a sale. Lots of Christians don’t eat pork either and for you to lie after I express concern is alarming. It was simple. I cannot imagine what else they have lied about to other customers to make a sale. Never coming here again which is a shame since there are limited options here.

So, when we initially walked in, we weren't sure about what to expect, it doesn't look like much. But we are so glad we found this place, because the food was delicious, and the owners super friendly. On the menu you have seafood, down home cooking, and some Indian Rice dishes. We ordered Chicken fried Chicken, Meatloaf, Southern Green Beans, and fried Okra. Both were served with homemade cornbread. We couldn't have been happier with our choices.
Fairly new place, and they need some love. Definitely would Recommend!
