Celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary here and had a wonderful experience! Excellent service, delicious food, and beautiful water view.
Alex made it extra special with a celebratory toast and a lovely dessert with Happy 50th and a candle. Thank you Alex and Baia team for the wonderful service for our special occasion!

Enjoying a beautiful, warm, sunny day in the Chesapeake Bay area was made even better with dinner by the shore at Baia. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was welcoming, relaxing, and impeccably clean.
What truly made the evening special, though, was our wonderful waitress, Emma. She was friendly, fun, and genuinely engaging. Emma did an excellent job explaining the menu, answering our questions, and helping us choose dishes we might not have ordered otherwise.
Having recently spent two weeks in Italy, we were surprised that many of the menu items weren't dishes we immediately recognized. We decided to step outside our comfort zone and try something new, and we're so glad we did. Every bite was delicious, and we left already talking about returning the next time we're in the Chesapeake Bay area.
I wish I could remember the name of the cake we ordered for dessert, but one thing I do remember is how quickly it disappeared! Even after a filling meal, we somehow found room to enjoy every last bite.
Thank you, Emma and Baia, for a fantastic dining experience and for helping create such wonderful memories. We look forward to coming back!

This was one of our favorite restaurants when we lived in Calvert! Today, my wife and I came down from Annapolis and she was so excited to sit on the deck, but with the rain and the time we showed up, the deck was not available. However, after talking with the GM about how much she was looking forward to the deck, the gm and staff moved some things around to help us and ensure that my wife and family had an amazing night on the deck! That’s the way they are. Amazing place, food, staff. A real gem in Calvert.

I was recently there for a scheduled rehearsal dinner for a wedding the following day. Large group in our own room with dishes of Beef and chicken along with a Italian salad, sides, and dessert glazed puffs. Excellent meal and service. Prior to the event I enjoyed seating at the large bar in the back with a selection of various alcohol beverages. Has an upstairs on the roof seating area and a large ground level deck patio facing the water as well. Nice place that doesn't appear very large in size from the street until you walk in. Recommend highly.
As a local we are happy this place opened. The food is good, the kitchen has always had issues, the service is great, the mangers are bad. Tonight we walk over with neighbors, ordered drinks and appies all great, but the pizzas took over an hour, when we asked finally were told they had oven issues , again, ok. But the real problem was another table of 2, so loud,on their speaker phones, and not one did a thing. So we asked them , nicely could you please go off speaker, keep it down, this guy was so arrogant got confrontional , we asked our server, plz call a manager. He showed up 20 minutes later, asked to move our table of 4 instead of moving them a table of 2 that severs were fearful of.bad move. Ok they gave us a free dessert, but handled it poorly, we patiently waited over an hour for 2 pizzas and had an jerk yelling all while we waited and all the staff were women employees afraid of this jerk and they did nothing. Do better, we understand a broken pizza oven, but not allowing all your staff and guest being fearful of a jerk customer.

I've been a few times. Tried a few dishes all left me with an it's okay. The most recent was the Halibut special. I've had melt in your mouth well seasoned Halibut. Unfortunately, Baia's preparation does not meet that mark. The taste was almost there but the fish was overcooked. Halibut is a delicate fish and it takes a masterful chef to hit the mark but that day was a miss. Also, tried the Lime Cheesecake for dessert. My critique as shared with the waitress, too much butter. The taste of butter overwhelmed the signiture lime flavor of the dish. I do like the restaurant. I encourage others to try as well. Just measure expectations at the door in terms of technique against the price point. If you're a foodie like me in time and with a bit more feedback, mentoring, and training Baia has the potential to become a North Beach/Chesapeake Beach staple.
